after some research, by looking at several websites that sell these, I have determined that your correct. The 4 knobs control 4 fans and the two switches control the remaining two fans.
i might be better off with a switch setup that allows me to turn them on/off instead.
I dont want them...
Do these switches control the 4 adjustable speed dials/fans or does one control the 4 fans on the dials and one switch the two (connectorless) bare wire fan connections?
I'm looking to control 4 fans on the side of my Stacker and prefer to not have them on all the time but the speed control...
I had a Chenbro Netserver case (the big giant ass cube) and used a normal atx mobo in it...
most cases have holes for mounting points to accomadate different mobo types.

Whats a TJ07?
You'll have to excuse my ignorance but for the last 6 months I've not even fired up a computer except for work purposes (to login and fix stuff remotely).
THAT alone puts me out of the technology curve by a mile... hahaha
I put everything in the case last night and...
How new electronics and components smell?
I just got my case (see other thread) and I can't stop smelling the interior...
That smell will be gone obviously soon after I get stuff put inside, similar to the New Car Smell....
I'll get some pics once I have a camera in hand and once I get everything loaded in the case.
I have nothing in the case but at a distance you can't really see inside, then again there is nothing inside to light up. I'm considering putting it on my desk here at work so i can stare at it till...
I noticed the extra fan holes on the bottom after seeing a post about the stacker.
Has anyone loaded this thing up with 120mm fans yet, including the two on the bottom?
With the two drive cage fans and the fans on the case, it would bring the total to 10 fans total.
No way that could...
My Stacker 830 just arrived at my office and you can picture the "makeing up for something else" type jokes that floated around for 15 minutes along with jokes about it being my new apartment... and after looking at the stacker in person.....
WOW it's big!
It's big enough that I can stick...
Is this sufficient to run,
gigabyte mobo
quad core 2.4
4x 500gig SATA drives
1 SATA DVD rom
8800 GT video card
and maybe 2 250gig ide drives
??
I have currently a 431 watt p/s for the mobo and drives and a seperate 5.25" drive bay power supply for the video card.
I know this...
I'm old, forgive me.
:D
A friend pointed me to a website to calculate Watts needed for the amount of stuff I'll have on it. The link had more than my 431 can provide, roughly... so I picked this up to take the load off. I was told amps were important on some of the newer cards.
??
It's not the Watts you have to look at, it's the amps. Newer cards like the juice (amps) more so than previous generations of cards.
btw: How do you like your Samsung 22" WS?
Making the o/s run smooth and fast is the main concern...
Games on occasion (i have a 360 as my main machine for gameing)
Occasional photoshop stuff with pictures
Some website design for work on occasion
Surfing the web
general stuff, nothing too crazy.
I don't mind buying 8 gigs...
