I triggered on the glossy one 2 days ago.
Maybe I'll get the semi-gloss one too just to compare.
any pics side by side posted yet? Don't think I came across any on OCN;
or did I miss it?
Other than seeing it in person and testing it, I doubt we'll know.
I'll push to have some for display at the store once they have it in stock, then I can report back.
NCX, would you happen to have some info regarding the input lag on the CrossOver 2720MDP vs 27Q vs the samsungs (sa650, etc)...
I have it next to my sa650, the colors are identical, I cannot tell the difference from one vs the other, only way I can tell is one matte and the other is semi-gloss.
I don't notice the color shift that much, its still day and night compare to any TN panel I own.
IMO, I prefer the MVA over...
any updates? I'm still looking for something for a good price and doesn't flicker that much.
The PB278Q seems like a solid choice but 4x$700 is a bit out of my price range, not to mention probably don't make sense, anyone who sees it will call me crazy :)
I am also in need of a 24/27 inch monitor
Need something with:
1. <5ms response time
2. low input lag
3. 1920x1200 & up
4. limited ag coating (ie. s24a650)
I have the s24a650, gw2450, both ghost/lag when gaming vs a tn panel. Had a potalion 27, there was still a slight ghosting issue.
Can't...
the only reason i'd prefer this over the samsung would be this might have less flickering, faster respond time.
we know not to expect perfect view angles, but i'd it over ips glow over ag anyday.
the asus PAs are very similar in every aspect w/ the 2412m; w/ slightly better color gamut/accuracy on the PAs>2412, but imo doesn't justify the big price difference.
So unless the PA248 is same price as the 2412, i'd do the 2412
You're right on. I'm in Canada, i also have contacts that can get me in touch with any manufacturer RMA department, so I'm not too concern about that, though I'd rather not have to go that route, it's nonetheless a hassle.
What I'm torn between atm is the view angle vs response time, I'm not...
ag coating affects the monitor the same way regardless of pixel pitch. if anything the higher density makes it worse, because the text is sharper(smaller) and the edges stand out more (causing the font/text to "float") than they would on something with higher pixel pitch.
my 2412s were on...
No, purely ag coating.
I had the 2412 before the 2710qw. Difference purely lies with the coating, not the pixel pitch.
Afterall, bb gun was refering to the colors mainly.
I can attest that the font is even worse than the images on the 2412, all text on white sometimes even dark bg just...
