Not so,I just had my LanCool (steel Lian Li) chassis powdercoated. The only prep it got was med stripping it down - removing all the outer panels which were left stock, removing all the plastic clips and stainless drive slides. The motherboard and hdd trays unscrew so they were done seperately...

Yep, everything will line up just fine. You'll have some space left over where there are extra PCI slots etc on the case, but at the other end, they're all the same. ITX, mATX etc are all based on the same design for the basic I/O panel, you just get more extras the bigger you go.

Does anybody know if the vibelights inverters are compatible with the sunbeam and other CC bulbs? I'm contemplating getting some sent out ($15 international freight) and I don't really want to have to make two orders because I find they won't fit the tubes I've already got.

I'd suggest staying away from tape. It has a bad habit of turning sticky and peeling in warm environments. How about some spiral wrap instead? Available in blue and green, really easy to install, and those guys are in aussie for cheap shipping :D
