Hello,
I've found your post concerning NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi2.
I've one myself and would like to get a proper calibration hardware and software. I've read on NEC North America site that NEC/X-rite iOne Display 2 sold by NEC is custom calibrated by NEC for wide gamut NEC monitors like mine. It sounds like it will be better than the same calibrator but bought from X-rite or other seller. Is that true ?
I've also read on http://www.lcdresource.com/lcd26/page5.htm that:
"Although many colorimeters contain filters optimized for sRGB only, the Gretag-Macbeth i1 Display 2 is passable for wide gamut monitors..."
Does it mean that Spyder 3 will be worst in calibrating my NEC monitor even with Spectra Profiler soft. ? ('m form Poland so I've european version of monitor so I'll go with european version of soft)
I'm so confused which software/hardwear combination to get. Appreciate your help.
best regards,
przemek
