SO, I just looked at the guide. On page three where is says what you are talking about you can see in the top right picture the little red circles that show the locations of the "detents". You just need to press them in while lifting the keyboard at the same time. Just start at one side and work...

If you look along the edges of the keyboard you will see either little spring loaded tabs, or just tabs overhanging the edge of the keyboard. If its the latter you can take a jewelers flat head and push them in and if is the non spring loaded type then you just need to use a LITTLE force to pry...
