They said they only charged $50, but did they sell you all the parts at full retail? If so, they made a bunch more money on the parts. When we build our PCs we get the parts at reduced prices from mail order places like Newegg. I think you could have built that same system for about $2000...
It isn't hard but it may take an hour or two. I guess they didn't want to spend the extra hour or two to make it look nicer. To make the front side less cluttered you will need to run the wires like in the link below behind the motherboard tray...
What was the point of them using a P182 case if they don't want to use the cable management aspects of the case? That is terrible that they would do such a sloppy job and then take your $3K. Show them this is how they should have done it...

My Gigabyte 680i has 3 PCI-e slots. Two of course are for sli and they are x16. I've been told the third (x8) could be used for a physics card. So could this be used for a ATI graphics card also? Or do I need to get a graphics card that is simply PCI?

So how does this work? Is the video card that you have a PCI or PCI-e slot card? The mobo we have, has a 3rd PCI-e slot. Would the third video card go in there? Do you just load both the nvidia and ati video drivers? Do you need to do anything to keep any conflicts from occurring?
