They said they only charged $50, but did they sell you all the parts at full retail? If so, they made a bunch more money on the parts. When we build our PCs we get the parts at reduced prices from mail order places like Newegg. I think you could have built that same system for about $2000...
It isn't hard but it may take an hour or two. I guess they didn't want to spend the extra hour or two to make it look nicer. To make the front side less cluttered you will need to run the wires like in the link below behind the motherboard tray...
What was the point of them using a P182 case if they don't want to use the cable management aspects of the case? That is terrible that they would do such a sloppy job and then take your $3K. Show them this is how they should have done it...
Looking for a mouse?
We found a dead mouse in a PC once. He chewed some wires. But it wasn't because the side was left off. It was because we left a PCI slot cover off.
I downloaded the latest chipset driver from Gigabyte for my P35-DQ6 mobo (at least I think I did). I ran the file "infinst_autol.exe" thinking that it would update my chipset drivers. But it seems like it only installed a program (utility) that is used to update the chipset drivers. It is...
My Gigabyte 680i has 3 PCI-e slots. Two of course are for sli and they are x16. I've been told the third (x8) could be used for a physics card. So could this be used for a ATI graphics card also? Or do I need to get a graphics card that is simply PCI?
Here is the mobo...
So how does this work? Is the video card that you have a PCI or PCI-e slot card? The mobo we have, has a 3rd PCI-e slot. Would the third video card go in there? Do you just load both the nvidia and ati video drivers? Do you need to do anything to keep any conflicts from occurring?
My son runs a Gigabyte 680i board with a Q6600 and a MSI 8800 ultra. I was thinking about getting him another ultra for Christmas. I think he could use it especially since he uses a 30 inch Dell at 2560X1600 and he games alot. But he also likes to use his 20 inch Dell for a second monitor for...
Where did you buy if from? Check this price:

It's now $120 after rebate. Yesterday it was down to $110. No shipping cost either!
It seems the same, but I don't know for sure. I think you would need two systems side by side to compare them to know for sure. The noise I hear comes from the fan holes on the top and back more than from any where else.
I run my fans at medium speed. If I go to low it is very quite but the temps go up a few degrees, but not too much. Try the fan controls that come on the case and see how you like them. If you don't, set the fans to high and hook up the Sunbeam fan controller.
I got the side panel back from Performance PCS. Here are some pics of my windowed side panel and my case.

Why not? I've kept track of about 30 rebates over the past couple years for various computer stuff and I've gotten everyone of them back. I make copies of the forms and receipts and file them. When I get the rebate check I mark it off on the file. I did this because I often heard people say...
I don't know anymore. Some people say that the 180B is the same as the 182 except the color. The 182 has slots at the top and side of the motherboard tray to run your wires better and the 180 didn't before. Now some say it does. Plus the 182 has the back and top fan controls mounted on the...
Oh, gotcha!
After I saw the P180 panels on their web site, I emailed them and asked them when they would have windowed P182 panels available. They said Antec hasn't made the P182 side panels available to them yet and I would need to send mine in if I wanted a windowed panel. They gave me a...
They are very helpful. Since they didn't have P182 panels yet, I had to send my panel in. They were willing to change the size of the window so my drive cages don't show through the window. I shipped it Monday (2-3 day delivery) and they got it today (Wednesday), did the work today and...
Are you asking how did I ship it? If so, I had a big narrow box that a metal shelf came in. I boxed it up and took it to the post office.
Or are you asking who is modding it? If so, I arranged for Performance PCS to do it for me.
For those of you that need a window side panel.
I'm getting a window put in my side panel on my P182. Performance PCS is doing the work. They have replacement windowed side panels for the P180 models available now...
If anyone is looking for a P180 silver case, Newegg has them on sale for $80 plus $19 shipping.

I have a 1333 cpu and DDR2 800 ram (PC6400). Both run as they should. The mobo automatically uses a divider so my ram runs at 800 while my cpu fsb is at 1333.
"hmm "don't know what I am talking about" well sorry I missed the tiny backup bios chip on a board I do not own until just recently was not available in the US and was mislead by Gigabytes own apparently incorrect or at best, random, terminology and inconstant usage of their own awful marketing...
