I have the Dell and I must say I never used it for gaming until lately and I've had it for a good half a year, mainly because I have a 46" Sony XBR4. However I started playing SF4 and I really notice a lot less input lag. The scaling on the other hand was not noticeable so I'd totally recommend it.
Welll I like the 20/30/20 setup, but I suppose it would be hard to find something like a 17' widescreen. I wouldn't mind a 4:3 monitor that matches the side length. I'm just a little confused as to what size of a monitor I need.

Every Dell series seems like they come out with more major issues than you'd expect to find on such high end monitors. I accept that just about nothing's perfect unless you pay an insane amount of money but I think they are a little too much.
