My striker has ben working flawlesly sence Dec. 2006 .......... but it will do so only on bios 0701 ! my E6600 is super stable @ 3.62 like it was meant to be . No other Bios will let me overclock . And sence Im not having any issues with 0701 , I dont see a need for a new bios unless theres...

Is there an advantage to having a quad with 12 MB of shared L2 catch that may have 2 cores idle most of the time as opposed to a dual core with 6MB of shared L2 catch ? Question being 12MB catch alone a performance asset over the fact of having 4 cores ?
