Well I got my Incredible :) I love it so far.
I'd completely forgotten what it was like to actually have a portable computing device as my phone because my 3G iphone on ATT was so completely useless.
Now to learn about Android.
Thanks for the help, everyone.
can someone direct me to an overview of Android? I don't know much about it at all - im just curious to learn. is there a video that walks me through the OS or something?
I went to a verizon store today and I liked to Droid Incredible more than any others.
I think I'll pick one of those up for $175 or so and I can sell it for at least something if I decide to upgrade to iphone 5 or a better android phone in the summer when bionic/thunderbolt/etc. come out...
I know that one issue with android is that older phones don't support the newer versions of andriod. Is that a big issue in terms of performance and functionality? Would there be things I couldn't do on the Droid that I could do on the Droid Incredible (not from a hardware perspective, but from...
are there any verizon android phones out now with a front facing camera that can work with iPhones? My family is all on iphone 4s and i know they'll want to use facetime
I think I'm going to give Android a try - I'm curious about all the apps that can go deeper into the OS for functionality.
It looks like getting a used Verizon phone is the way to go. Between a Droid, Droid 2, Droid X or Droid Incredible what is most recommended?
A question about numbers: I...
Well I think it makes most sense for me to get a pre paid plan with Verizon so I don't lock myself in in case im in love with the iPhone 5.
Of the list of pre paid verizon phones, which ones do you all consider worthwhile? I use my phone primarily for:
Calls
Texting
GPS
occasionally a...
Does anyone know about how androids sync with OSX (ical and music mostly).
the no contract option is very interesting - would let me try out android without commitment until the summer when i can choose to go iphone5 or the latest android phone.
So I'm an apply guy - I've got a MBP, I love OSX, etc. I'm not married to it at all, I just enjoy the functionality.
2 years ago I got the iPhone 3G with ATT. I've pretty much always hated it. I live in Berkeley, CA so the reception is ludicrous, the data is awful - I can basically never...
So I'm in a similar position. I have a limited budget (less than $100) and want a 2.1 setup.
did we get consensus on what the best bet was? The swans don't have subs.
I'm just curious, is there any consensus on when the best time to buy a new system around this time of year is? Either now, during the holiday sales, right after the holiday sales, or at the beginning of the year?
I'm going to be building a PC again soon, mostly for gaming and intensive work. I've been on a mac for the past 2 years, and love it, but I miss many things from Windows (gaming, for a big one).
Anyway, I'm very unfamiliar with the software side of things on Windows at the moment. I'll be...
I'm looking to build a system that will be used for gaming, light photoshop graphic design and some animation. Nothing too intensive. I currently have a Macbook Pro (2.4ghz, 4gb 667 RAM, GeForce 8600M GT) and for everything but the gaming it does fine. That said, if the system I build is...
