are the grados comfy? since they don't "cup" the ears, it seems like the pressure would become painful after a bit of time.

I'm surprised people seem to like the Promedia's more than the Swan M10s. Good to know, since for desktop speakers the Swans are a bit cumbersome. But damn the Swans are HOT. The Klipsch are...well not ugly, but boring.

so it seems there are 2 kinds of buzzing. One is the <98 brightness which is very loud. The other appears to be a quieter buzzing which, I think, is constant? Mine has the first one, and I just leave my monitor on 100 all the time, as buzzing annoys me to no end.

I'd say its so high pitched that it might mean only those who aren't experiencing high frequency hearing loss (Very normal as you age) would hear it, but it's not THAT high pitched.
