Thanks for the advice guys. This morning I turned the 120mm fans to low, I may reverse one of them later. Running Prime95 now that AS5 has been in for around 12 hours it looks like my prime95 load temps are peaking at around 68-69C according to speedfan. Still high, but a lot better than...
I got a Q6600 B3 stepping and it runs incredibly hot at stock speeds. I did some research and found this is somewhat normal. I installed with with the stock HSF and thermal material which should work fine, but I was getting 80C+ load using coretemp and PRIME95 4-core torture test. I thought I...
I have an Intel DG965OT motherboard with Core 2 Duo E6600 & 8800GTS videocard + X-FI Elite Pro.
I was wondering, has anyone tried 4GB RAM with X-FI & Vista x64 on an Intel 965 chipset? I heard the X-FI drivers for XP x64 had problems (static, popping, or lack of hardware acceleration) but I...

Why not spend a bit extra and turn it into an HD DVD media center? HD DVD quality is amazing and worth checking out.
You can use the 360 HD DVD drive + HDCP video card to do so. Probably need to jack the CPU up to an X2 3800+ as well.

I'd recommend upgrading your CPU to at least an A64 X2 3800+ or a Core Duo 2400, as well as upgrading your video card to an HDCP-compliant card.
HD DVD looks amazing even on a 720p monitor. Even if you aren't seeing the full resolution the format has to offer, you still will be seeing how it has zero artifacts compared to DVD which has MPEG2 artifacting all over the place.
I was completely turned off by PS3 due to the Blu-Ray decision. I think HD DVD is the better format, I have a standalone HD DVD player, and heck if I'm going to pay an extra $200 so that Sony can force Blu-Ray on me. No thanks, I'll stick with my 360.
Not to mention that every review of...

In other words, Sony Rootkit Part 2. Basically if a Blu-Ray disc detects something it doesn't like and can't get rid of it, it can run native code of its choosing (a la rootkit) on your Blu-Ray player/machine and possibly...
I can't say about the Zalman but I will tell you that it comes awful close to contacting the chipset heatsinks on the M2N32 SLI itself, in fact it may even be touching slightly.
