Sorry I assumed the 2nd was the $399 Acer AL2416WBsd, not X series you linked. At that cost it may still be PVA. Dual DVI? That would be cool but the acers I have looked at did not have a button to switch displays, it was burried in the menu tree....
Over at AT someone claimed the older AL2416WD is PVA and the newer cheaper one is TN.
Cost difference is currently negligible (amazon lists the WD for $429, Costco has the other one for $399) so I would go with the PVA unless you have a costco memebership ($399 for the TN). and want the...
You can get a PVA based 24" for $429 at J&R if you don't mind Acer. If you need a fast response time and don't mind TN panels you can get the TN based acer 24" for $399 at costco
> Your best bet would be to look at them in the store side by side and choose.
This is actually a horrible...
I wanted to like this monitor as I like how tidy the built in web cam looks compared to the type that sit on your monitor.
For some reason I hate viewsonic bezels and this one is no different. It's a glosy fingerprint magnet. A concern as I find myself constantly adjusting TN panels for...
I see now BB has a W3 version of the 22". Looks like a cleaner/narower bezel. Almost like the acer.
Regarding the LCD monitor arm. Before my Westinghouse died an untimely death (last product I buy from that company) I used a ergotron LX desk mount. At the time I was able to get a couple...
It's not necesarily cheaper but have you considered 3 single monitor mounts?
I'm putting together a dual monitor setup and decided on the ergotron LX single for my mounts. It will be $248 shipped for the two arms but it gives me a little more flexibility in how I position my screens.
Is anyone using the 22" Westy in a dual or tri monitor configuration? Bezel is not ideal but might not be too bad as long as you are not stacking them
The wife brought me the 20.1" Westy for christmas thinking it was the same thing as what I have. That bezel is totally different. I would not...
Gosh I wish I did not revisit this thread. At $199 I am so tempted to camp out and get a second one. Maybe not though. The bezel does not lend itself well to portrait mode (nor does the stand) and I normaly run one landscape one portrait. Still for $199, maybe the folks are getting an upgrade...
No sound from mine, perhaps a bad unit?
After I was past the BB return date all of a sudden there are 22" monitors every where.
I have yet to see the acer/samsung, but I finally saw the Viewsonic $349 model at Costco.
I did not like the look of the viewonic at all. The viewsonics bezel...
Or you can use a hack like the Matrox dual or tripple head 2 go:
