I bought a Evga gtx 260 at a local B&M and it had the coil squeal. Annoyed the hell out of me so I exchanged it the next day for another evga 260. The second one was louder and imo not acceptable the least bit. So again I took it back but for a refund this time.
IMO I would not accept...
If you're just getting back in to pc gaming you also may find yourself wanting a larger monitor shortly down the road. IMO just pay a little more and get the most graphic card that you can afford right now. I would't go anything less the a 260 or 4870. For the price to performance ratio though...
I bought one last night at a B&M, took it back this morning. Exchanged it for another and the same thing. At idle it wasn't as bad as the 1st one but at load it was twice as bad as the 1st one. I mean if I would have had a friend over I would ahve been embarrest of my rig show casing the...
My new evga 260(core 192) does it bad. It's really not a plesent sound so I'm going to exchange it out and see if another does it. If it does I don't know. I really don't want to listen to that day in and day out. Bad QC if you ask me.
I just picked up a 260 gtx(192) last night and played around with it a little bit. I was successful running stock settings of 3dmark06 at 753/1511/1256. I haven't stressed test at these setting but I didnt see any artifacs. Also I haven't tried for higher.
I bumped back down to 702/1501/1201...
I just bought a gtx 260 last night and have a sonata III and I didn't have to take out anything. A little snug but I just angled in the side with the display ports in first and went in no problem.
edit: Oh, n/m, I dont have a fan on my HDD(dont think my sonata came with one).
I thought about upgrading to a P45 but 9x415 for 3.73 with just a small vcore bump is decent. I mean really, am I going to see a difference hitting 4.0-4.2? Doubt I'll notice anything. lol
I can't get over 415 on my MSI P43 board. From researching around this seems to be the same experience from those with p43, 400-420fsb only.
My board is advertised as, "Greater OC than P35, PCI-e 2 x16, great value per dollar". It's not currently.
Well I went up to my local Microcenter today and I can confirm that it is a TN panel. So 178/178:confused:
Also imo it looks cheap. The bezel is now two pieces clipped together and visable from the front(kinda hard to explain). It's also piano black(shiney) while it continues to use the...
24" Soyo now at Microcenter.
3ms
500cd/ms
178/178
seems like a combo of conflicts there from what we know of this monitor.

Looks like the 26" Bezel...
Just to add, all though the 24" are still in store they have pulled them from their site for the time being. So maybe all these sales were to clear stock for the 26" and maybe the 24" will be discontinued...
