ive been trying to update the ethernet drivers for my asus k8n motherboard and when i try to install new drivers my comp crashes and restarts. i formatted my hd and reinstalled windows hoping this would fix the problem, but no dice. on itunes i can see and listen to others' music on my network...
when i got up this morning my computer would randomly mute itself after a few seconds. i unplugged my mouse and keyboard to make sure they werent dying or something and it still kept muting the sound after a few seconds. i know it sounds kinda crazy but no sound = shitty. any suggestions?

i have a EVGA e-GeForce 6600 GT 128MB AGP card, and i decided im tired of buying new vid cards because of overheating and whatnot. however i can find any aftermarket vans for this guy.
