***SOLD***
Hi there!
So, I tried to jump into the whole cryptocoin thing, and wound up getting this card right before the crash. Since it's no longer worth my time, I'm selling this off.
I'm selling my Lightly Used, Like New, In Box Gigabyte Radeon R9 270.
Model: GV-R9270c-2GD.
All retail...
Huh...didn't even realize you were up in Canada. A call to Supermicro's Canadian distributors/dealers may be in order for you...

And if you want to stick with an Atom based system, Supermicro has a proprietary board that incorporates an Atom 2750 with an LSI2116 controller on board.

16 LSI controlled SATA/SAS ports, 1x SoC SATA port, and a SATA Disk...
2x of the SFF-8087 connectors are for the LSI Controller. The third is for SATA ports off of the Intel chipset.
Between chipset, and the LSI, you have 14 total SATA connections.
LSI2308: 8x SAS2 6gpbs (from 2x SFF-8087 connectors)
Intel C224: 4x SATA3 6gbps (from 1x SFF-8087 connector), 2x...
Now...if you made this slightly larger to support this Asrock Rack board (expanded mITX), you'd have a winner on your hands I think.

I know Marvell controllers (as used on the above listed Asus board), can be slightly...
I'm a fan of the UniFi AP-LR, as opposed to just the AP just for the boosted range/cost ratio. That being said, both are pretty awesome.
As has been addressed, the Pro model adds 5ghz, and dual gigabit ethernet ports to allow for bridging. For a home implementation, this is all pretty unneeded...
Edgerouter Lite-$99
UniFi AP-$70
Done.
If you need more wired ports, tag in a gigabit switch of your choosing (HP 1410 unmanaged), and you'll still come in under $400.
I've used the 8port version of that HP for a while now with no complaints. My sister has the 24 port version in her network at home, and it's quite awesome as well.
I'm sure you could find cheaper...but between the fanless design, lifetime warranty, and solid construction...I'm not sure if it...
Thanks for all the input!
I picked up a HP 1910 from Amazon, and will try it in my setup first. If the fans are too stupidly loud, I'll likely return it and go Zyxel.
Thanks for the info. I had skimmed a few posts in regards to this as well, but wanted to see if there was something I'd missed. I'm leaning towards the HP unless it turns out the fan is particularly annoyingly loud. Thanks for the heads-up on the Fe vs G versions on the 1910's, btw.
The Dell...
Hi there:
I'm diving in headfirst into networking my house, and want to go ahead and get a good managed switch.
What I'm looking for:
24ports
all gigabit
reasonable cost (<~$300)
Other network components:
Ubiquiti EdgeRouter
Ubiquiti UniFi
Cat6 runs
The switch will be installed...
I'm using an Edge Router Lite, HP Procurve 1410-8G Switch, and UniFi AP's in my home. All are fanless, and all are seamless now. Configuration initially is a bear (took me a weekend on and off to get it all up and happy, but then I was tweaking things as well), but once it's up, it's up and...
So, I'm moving next week, and have some stuff I no longer need. As such, I'm looking to defray some of my moving costs.
Details:
-Shipping: USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation to CONUS is included. Other methods (UPS/FedEx), Insurance, or International are the responsibility of the buyer...
First Focal Plane optics. Change your zoom level, and the crosshairs stay aligned. No need to rezero for altering ranges. Couple that with Bullet Drop Compensation posts (or Mil/Mil), and all you have to do is know your ammo, and you can reach out from 50-500yds by swapping powers on your optic...
Not sure if you're buying new construction, or what...but...if you've not closed yet, you could put as part of your bid, etc, that you want the seller to pay to have networking run to your specs.
Innocence:
Thanks for the info. To be honest, I just put the 3 pack on my wishlist just for giggles, as I didn't expect anyone to get them for me. It's probably going to be SERIOUS overkill for me, but better over than under, I suppose.
So, on a whim, I put a UniFi 3 pack on my Amazon Wish-list. It looks now like someone has bought me that.
That being said, I was curious if anyone had suggestions for a router to pair with this system. Right now I'm using an Airport Extreme, but that's seriously excessive for just a DHCP...
Bump!
Res has been run ~2yrs. No stress fractures or the like (that I can see). Looks pretty good honestly. Will try and get photos when I get home from work (assuming BL2 doesn't consume my life)
