I was able to upgrade my Home Premium to Professional using Ion's key
through Windows Anytime Upgrade. I did have to call in & activate the key
through Microsoft's automated system. I'm now fully upgraded & activated.
Do you know if these keys will work with Windows Anytime Upgrade?
Currently on Home Premium and need Pro for the recent 32GB RAM upgrade.
Don't plan on clean installing until Win 10 as this install is rock solid.
Thanks in advance.
Refused delivery on a Newegg package on Nov.24 & the item has yet to reach Newegg.
It's been sitting at the UPS Baldwin Park, CA facility since Dec.01
Hope they sort it out soon, got $200 dollars on my CC tied up.
I also got a FedEx tracking number for the 1080 27"
Did we ever find out if the prices were a mistake?
Some of these deals seem too good. Of course none
have tested the quality yet, so we could be getting lemons. :)
I'm also considering an upgrade from my 780 3GB.
I'll wait for the new AMD & NVidia cards next month and make a decision.
Memory is a factor, hoping 6GB to 8GB is standard fare for the new cards.
Are you using the codes provided in the original post to enter at http://dpgamer.com/ proof of purchase along with your e-mail, date of birth?
That will generate a longer code that you enter at origin.
You can still order it from Amazon for $59.99, but they are out of stock if you are willing to play the waiting game. Look to the right at More buying choices or the 62 new option.
I also got in on the deal while it was in stock, but my onboard sound has been pretty solid, so I'm a bit leary...
I still have my Soyo and like a lot of you, the power supply is dead.
I can see a burn mark on the power supply board. The caps seem fine.
Would be great if we could find a source to buy replacements.
I really hope that $720 is not the actual price of the 780.
I recently sent back my Sapphire 7950 for a refund, hoping the 780 would have a reasonable price.
If the $700+ price tag is true, I may just get a vanilla 7970 and overclock to GHz speeds.
I really wanted to try nVidia this...
No, just windows 7 on a SSD.
Another odd but small issue was when booting up, the windows start-up sound would either cut out half way, or not play at all.
I recently sent my ZxR back for a refund. I had some issues with the card not being recognized at start-up.
I would have to cold boot about 3 times before the card was found.
I did experience my first blue screen of death since installing windows 7 a year ago.
It was during creatives...
I was able to log in to my account, but none of my cards show up.
I am planning to sell my reference 6950 soon, and will need the transferable warranty code for buyer.
Hope they get things sorted soon.
I recently sent my new 7950 back to newegg. I really wanted to go nvidia this round, but the 6 series 2GB of ram just wasn't cutting it for me.
I just hope the 780 is not priced high. I hope a 3GB 780 is one of the options. That should keep prices reasonable, and I think 3GB is the sweet...
Interesting read here at Rage3D.
Oh, and please don't buy the Belkin cable from Amazon that is posted above, it does not solve the issue.
In the Rage3D thread, this Accell cable is said to be the right one. I haven't tried it myself tho.
Update since my last post,
I have "AMD External Events Utility" service set to manual (disabled before that),
and have not had a dropout or error message since.
This could be a temp delay and it might start happening again, but for now it's good.
I still get the new device...
I just recently purchased Audioengine A2 speakers. I am not sure if I should get the Z or ZXR.
I primarily use my speakers, and do have a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 3 that I use once in a while.
I know having the right equipment is key when considering higher quality sound cards. Are the...
I still get dropouts when initially powering on my display.
I am using a mini-displayport to displayport cable.
Final8ty post looks interesting and I might try that eventually.
I have that same monitor and get that message as well. Using 13.1 Catalyst Drivers ATM.
I only get it in the windows environment when turning on the monitor or waking it up from sleep.
It doesn't happen again during use, only when initially turned on.
Does your monitor go black after a few...
This is really a brilliant feature. I have a 120Hz LCD and limit my Skyrim to 60fps.
Skyrim is so much more enjoyable when playing with a steady smooth frame rate.
I really hope AMD adds this feature to future Catalyst drivers.
