anyone else here with a 4870 that sometimes for no reason spins up the FAN to maximum speed? it seems to occur everyone now and then for about 1 second - it scares teh shit out of you when your just web surfing.

now that we are fast approaching the magic 1000w PSU i'd like to know (or specualate) what break thrus we might expect to see for the PC? or are we destined to continually see hikes in wattage? are there any manufacturers thinking outside the box as far as PSU goes?

ok my Enermax 620 has been in RA for over a month now - im told that theres a prob getting it sourced back down under (australia) so i could be looking at a credit or a replacement in ~3weeks. its BS but... so heres wat im looking at: either use my credit and get a Silverstone 600 modular...
