I'm selling an evga 9600gt and creative x-fi xtremegamer. Both cards are lightly used (i.e. they are NOT new). The evga 9600gt has already been registered, so you won't be able to register it for the warranty. Both of these cards are in perfect working order. I accept paypal (credit card via...
The ~$10 price savings of buying a HIS card instead of an XFX card really isn't worth the time wasted trying to force HIS to honor their warranty. Practically every thing I have ever heard about HIS with respect to their warranty service has been a nightmare.
For ATI AIB partners, this seems...
I snagged two of CC1H (part number ending in 302) 1.5tb 7200.11s from the dell deal for $200.
I put the first one in, did a full format and then ran seatool's 'long self test' which reported no errors. Today, the disk freaked out and Vista actually changed the drive's name to "access denied"...
That's why I said 'if permitted'. The AA's don't exactly play by the rules. Also remember there's this ACTA nastiness coming down the bend with international components.
If allowed to stand, this ruling will be disastrous to the slowly improving broadband situation in the United States. Under the definition in the court's ruling, every single ISP on earth is also guilty of "unlawful transfer to the public of copyrighted performances". The AA's have probably...
NAT can eat a bag of hell. My ISP gives us 3 external IPs for free, and I think it's time to start taking advantage of this.
I've got the following:
network hardware:
1x linksys wrt54gl running dd-wrt
1x gigabit switch that I will buy based upon recommendations
machines:
1. NAS...
update: GTX 285 is sold.
I've got a prior folding rig for sale. I am not splitting up the q6600/p5q-pro/4gb g.skill ram/TRUE setup. All of these parts are lightly used, and in perfect working order.
I'm not accepting trades, so sorry about that. I also will not ship outside of the USA...
This is wonderful news! Now that comcast has demonstrated their intent to police their networks, they are now totally liable for every single illegal file that is transferred on their network! Oh what's this? There's some child porn being transferred via comcast's routers? The entire board...
Ha. I don't even need to heat my basement now that I have just two boxes down there folding (both gpu).
Project 5752 (511 points) is showing 6300 ppd on my stock-clocked gtx 285. That's sort of pathetic.
I see about 62c running the folding gpu2 client (100% load). I manually set the fan speed to 100% 24/7 due to the gpu always being under heavy load. The only time my gtx 285 gets a break is when I quit folding on it to play a game.
Does anyone have any experience with the thermalright HR-03...
"The most striking part is that everything we found clustered around religious beliefs are negative," said most intelligent people capable of critical thinking. They say previous studies had only examined the issue of believing in fairy tales but added: "It appears mormonism is related to a host...
I think the general answers will be "SSD and flash devices will preserve data longer than hard disks and optical media". I haven't seen any experiments for archival data integrity over time.
Personally, I would buy two 8gb SLC flash drives (kingston hyper-x 8gb is an example of a decent SLC...
Now they just need to sell these things. I'm not paying $600 for a bundle - they can keep their 3D glasses.
Just how long are we going to have to wait to purchase a 2233rz?
Just about to crack 100k. I got a new gtx 285, but had to take down my box with two 9600gts, since it went bonkers with the "UNSTABLE_MACHINE" crap. Fucking poorly supported multi-gpu shit.
Outside of a content holder's jurisdiction? So now we have the RIAA/MPAA department of law enforcement?
What are these "advertisement" things people keep talking about anyway?
I got the backorder email for my SSC today as well. I called the number that someone posted earlier in the thread (1-800-800-0800 then 3). The customer service rep told me that they will not substitute cards, and my only options were to wait an unknown length of time for them to get more...
Great, they get to charge my cc (checked just now) and then come back a day or more later to say they can't honor their deal.
If n people ordered a gtx 280 ssc, I wonder if they only try to obtain n cards, and when they fail to do so, mass cancel all of the orders.
I guess someone needs to maintain a retailer-cost master index. If anyone sees a product for $0.10 under that price, they could just ignore it since online retailers are exempt from laws designed to protect consumers.
Funny how these threads here and on SD always turn into...
Except this isn't a $300-on-newegg card for $30, this was a $300-on-newegg card for $220. Nobody intended to 'get one over' on buy.com here, we all just thought we found a deal.
Also, buy.com can expect it's resellerratings score to drop to practically zero if they mass cancel all of the gtx...
