Yes, as long as you want to run one card it's possible. Why would you even want 8xAA? The performance drop on a single card is not worth it imo. Best stick with your xt for the moment..

I've had the exact same problem when i bought my dad a 6600 last month. It turned out to be an incompatibily issue with his existing HP m-atx socket 737 mobo. Had to buy an new one and a proc to resolve that issue..

You're kinda right, however it's nice to get some $$'s back from your old setup on the secondhand market.

If you're talking about upping the PCIe frequency (100) then leave that alone altogether. If you're talking about core and memclock ocing you should be able to find them under advanced display properties.
