Hi, I decided to try the new LED VLED221WM monitor, first impressions
against a 226bw are:
- Very bright for its 250 cmd/m2 spec, had to use 5% brightness to obtain an approximate brightness to the 226 (set to 40/100)
- Very saturated colours
- No banding in greys or colours
-...
@Fleat pics
Many thanks for the pics, initial inspection of the vista desktops doesnt look too bad, but the pure colour comparison does show how bad the samsung is....... disappointing.
I'm also hoping its a defection model., hope you can get an exchange.
Yes please Fleat!
One of the best things about the 226BW S panel was its "out of the box" calibration
will be disappointing to know I need to buy a calibrator to enjoy the HC aspects
of this screen
Hi Kaushama, please post some more feedback, someone else said "He said it's blurry and not sharp so he's going to return it and stick with his 226BW", whos knows it could have been set at the wrong resolution.
Thanks

Hi XeeN, yes this was reported in BF2 for example, I plane flying on/through a blue sky (also happens on some 226BW panels, very annoying)
Thanks forr your help
Hi, please can someone try BF2/BF2142 or something similar with fast moving objects over sky for example, I just want to check the comments from the Polish site about RTA overshoot causing bright shadow/halos
Many thanks.

Spookhunter, thanks for the review, couple of questions:
1. Any buzzing noise at low or medium brightness?
2. Any input lag compared to your other display?
Thanks
Thanks again for the pics, please try some games or screen timers, all the gamers here want to know about lag (oh and I would like if the monitor buzzes at medium or low brightness)!
Regards
I going to be very disappointed then.... my research indicates that other people also had problems with the 203B buzzing backlight, so I think its a fundamental design problem, not a single faulty unit.
Hi Tyr-Sog, I also has the same buzzing problem with a samsung 203b (20" 4:3) and if you look at the LG204 thread, other people are having the same problem.....
I'm still looking for a large screen display which is silent to use.
Have a read here, other monitors suffer from humming/buzzing, possibly because of loe quality components....
