Too late I jumped on the deal for a 6900 XT last week for $1029 for the Sapphire Nitro+ SE
I have lots of time this summer to play stuff but in the fall I won't have nearly as much free time so I kind of had this now or never sensation.
As to the 1080 I have to say it did a great job overall...
Normally I would agree with you but I have been waiting to get my hands on a GPU since late 2020. My EVGA que has still not come up yet! Tired of waiting. I want a summer filled with large FPS increases from my aging warrior GTX 1080. 😁
Oh and if one looks at my profile, the rest is getting...
A few months ago I had a 3080ti in the cart for $1850 shipped. Before that I had a lesser 6900XT than this one in the cart for 1750 shipped. I am glad I waited. I finally jumped on this one.
Aiming for a late June build. Will pair this 6900XT with my Intel OCd 6700k @ 4.85 GHZ just for shits...
When I try to add
EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 12GB FTW3 ULTRA GAMING
I get the following message in red
You may only sign up for 2 VGA queues at a time. If you wish to remove a notification and replace it with 12G-P5-4877-KL, please click here to make changes to your notifications.
So Evga wants me to remove myself from the que for the regular 3080 or the 3080 ti so I can add this one since it now says only 2 cards can be in the que. So a few GB more memory for hundreds more bucks and I lose my position in line which I have been in since the end of 2020?
Yeah I am lucky in that I don't have any compelling reason right now. If something that is dear to me, like Witcher 3, was releasing I would be where you are. What I decided to do is look at my Steam library. I have been collecting on sale titles for like 12 years. I have 200 games in the...
I know I haven't. I'm not paying that much for 3070. Not many people I know would either, not if its just used for gaming. People who think that all this is the new pricing normal are not thinking about how this will effect PC gaming long term. For example, for AAA console titles that get ported...
Wow an actual good deal! I almost fainted LOL I was surprised to still find it in stock. In for one
Thanks for this :)
Building my PC this time slowly. Got this, a 360 AIO cooler and my fractal design case. The rest over time
$400 over the price on Evga product page.
Roguecast lists the clock speed at 1725mhz but on Evga's page its listed at 1665mhz

I am having a hard time hitting the "order" button I will be honest. I have another 90 min to decide
It was nice to read this. I wonder how many people are still using it? I used mine as my main monitor from 2007- Dec 2013. Then it was a TV for my Dad till 2016 when it finally bought it due to a fall 😢
Best monitor I had ever owned till my curved ultra wide 34" that I use now. I even went and...
Was still going...Took me 80 minutes of trying..

I give up....What a lousy time to be a hardware enthusiast. Can't even sign up for a que......I need a new hobby LOL
Thanks EVGA I am glad that I have "elite status" Sure feels Elite!! 😂
I would use this for a 5600x...At least they are combining it with a MB and not the usual power supplies which I found useless
The Asus GPUS.....
3080 $949
3090 $1979
Geez....No thanks....
All this has done is put a damper on my enthusiasm for this entire hobby. For the first time since the late 90s I've just about had it. I never thought that this would happen but this whole thing just stinks.
Its a strange feeling. On one hand I don't like over paying for anything.
On the other hand if you wait or hesitate even for a minute its OOS again.
I had the 3090 in the cart and then started thinking about paying $1500 for playing PC games....By the time I hit "checkout" it was OOS again.
Would $150 over MSRP be expected to last for a long time? Meaning if I waited till March or April is supply issues supposed to ease and the price go down? Or is this how things will last for a long time.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for 50% off
To get to $30 I added a Pillars of Eternity deadfire DLC
I might later jump on Pathfinder: Kingmaker enhanced edition for $11.99
I miss the flash sales. With this format I will come back in two weeks and buy stuff from my wishlist. There isn't much reason to look every day. Oh well
Another great review of an obviously good video card.
I feel bad though since you guys put lots of effort into your reviews of these cards and yet (most) of us would never go anywhere near this for a build. Strange times for hardware enthusiasts.
Well I just got this board last night. i was going to update to the latest bios as one of my first steps. It feels almost like luck that i read this thread.
since the UI is improved i wonder if anybody has done a custom bios for skylake based on this new version?
Pulled the trigger on this last night along with an open box Msi gaming m7 board that I snagged for $125 which included a $40 promo which lowered it to $85 plus a $20 rebate. Microcenter is great ☺
Hey guys EVGA just sent me an email upgrading my step up from the ACX to the SC version at no extra cost.
PSA: 1080 ACX 3.0 SC is now on the step-up list - EVGA Forums
I stepped up to the ACX 3.0 for $38.00 ;)
I would take that route. Like has been said unless you have a case where you feel you need to vent air out the back?
Go with the ACX as its a much better cooling option. In fact I am very happy to have seen it! I was almost certain we would be stuck...
