I'm planning to get the Harmony 880 in a few days.
If I get a Windows MCE Receiver, would I be able to control Winamp and Media Player Classic functions, or would it be limited to Media Center Player only?
I don't have a receiver, I have a Spherex 5.1 system (well, it contains a receiver I guess).
Does anyone have any experience with this system playing stereo pcm mp3s with a digital connection from their PC soundcard?
That's exactly what I'm afraid of, not being able to play my music through all 5 speakers. I actually care more about being able to play stereo music (front and left variation) through all 5 speakers than about playing PC games' audio in 5.1 sound,. (I don't play many PC games).
Hi all,
I recently swapped my defective Logitech Z-5500 for my current set: Spherex 5.1 speakers + $100 cash back.
Unlike the Z-5500, these ones don't support analog 5.1 surround. I'm planning to get the Auzentech X-plosion soundcard and will hook it up to the PC via either optical or...
Yes I have. With both the Logitech and Yamaha speakers on full bass settings, the Logitechs aren't that much more impressive in the bass department. The volume definitely can go very loud though.
I tried, but lifting it out of the car's trunk, I really can't use legs to lift. Almost fell backwards with it ontop of me when I finally got it out of the car.
I may need to bring this set back, the bass is really weak on mine. :(
There's no way that my 10 year old $50 Yamaha 2.1 speakers should have stronger bass than this one. I tried it with the Xbox 360 hooked up via Optical as well, so I know it isn't just my onboard soundcard. What a pain...
I just picked up a set recently as well.
Should I be using: 6 Ch Direct or Stereo x2 when listening to MP3s when connected to my PC with the included analog cables?
XP, as it says in my sig.
Anyways, I either stumbled upon a fix by accident, or the problem fixed itself because it now works again. I played around with the settings in Media Player Classic and it somehow did the trick, and all this time I was tweaking Winamp settings to try to correct it.
Hi guys, I need help with configuring my audio in my PC settings.
I used to be able to control the volume of the audio independently for MP3s played with Winamp and movies played with Media Player Classic. Mysteriously, I'm not able to do so anymore, and I don't remember what if any changes...
Does anyone know of any places locally that sell the Swan M10 in Vancouver Canada? The place in Richmond, BC that is listed on Swan's website seems to no longer exist.
Sorry to steal your thread in order to sidetrack a bit but..
I'm waiting for the next sale of the Z-5500s at NCIX and have a question about adding additional speakers:
Is it possible to add 2 more speakers to them to have 7.1 sound? Is it supported by the hardware/software?
I just picked up an FP241VW from Benq today, manufacture date was March 2007.
I initially tried to crossover the PC via DVI to HDMI and the Xbox via HDMI to DVI to avoid the overscan (I had resigned myself to the fact that it was necessary to get 1:1 without overscan). However, to my horror, I...
If it were me, I would use the 37 Westinghouse just because all those bezels between the monitors would eventually bug me.
It really depends what tasks you normally perform on your rig at home. I have to admit my dual-screen setup at work is very handy, but I don't see myself needing or...
Currently, I'm running my Xbox 360 Elite to my DVI monitor via an HDMI to DVI converter.
They can be had for pretty cheap: Click Here That is the one I have, but they're even cheaper on www.monoprice.com I'm sure.
So just to clarify:
Even if I do get a monitor that doesn't have the overscan fix, I can simply connect the Xbox 360 via HDMI to DVI converter, and the PC via DVI to HDMI converter and it will properly display 1:1 ratio?
Hi guys, this is my first post here.
I have a deposit down on the last FP241WZ at my local NCIX, but yesterday I just found out that the manufacturer date is January 2007. The price on this is $609.
I called today and asked about the manufacturer date of the FP241W, and was told it is...
