320GB drives are old news w/o a doubt, but putting that space on one platter is new. Current WD 1TB drives are 4 platters (250GB/Pltr), I think it'd be reasonable for one to anticipate 1.25 TB drives becoming commonplace in the near future ... :cool...

What CPU do you run to rip/encode your DVDs (assumes encoding to single layer DVD) ? With a C2D running at 2.8G, this computer rips in 8-15 minutes.. but encoding can take anywhere from 15-25 minutes! Burning is typically <8min w/a IDE Pioneer (SATA Samsung is nearly identical time)...
