Thanks for the further explanation.
I left my pc idle for 5 minutes (as I usually have been doing lately for this testing) with just a program running that takes 18% of cpu load and when I came back it remained just like that, without the extra 30% that usually happen when there is no main...
Hi there,
I have win8.1 original version and I've had no performance problems whatsoever but anytime I leave my computer for longer than 5 minutes, my processor will jump from 0-2% that I get while browsing the webs, music, movie, etc up to 30% with 3.8Ghz OC .
As soon as I move the mouse or...
I'm glad we can all agree for once on a common thing:
Real Life is over rated.
Stay at home. Play your favorite videogames. Nothing beats it. Specially if you have the money to support such kind of life for pretty much... well... your entire life.
Great games? From the last decade on pc alone:
RTS/Turn Based = Any Total War
FPS = Bad Company 2
RPG = Planescape torment (1999 but , a year... come on)
MMORPG = Money wise WoW... fun wise... have yet to find one
I'm sure consoles have had great games, can't talk about them.
Make better games. That's the best plan to get more customers.
Boring repetitive videogames with no replay value are worth the same at 10, 40 or 60 bucks = A shit.
Only to North America? Even if I pay for customs and all that crap? I'm so sad now... I can't get such thing in my country. Why wasn't I born in America dear God, OH WHY!? TELL ME!!
Piracy killed PC gaming as we knew it (exclusive PC games instead of console ports), but not as the act itself of "stealing" but the impression it has given companies that develope crappy games. They think they're loosing sales which infact they weren't getting those sales in first place but...
PC gaming as we knew it IS DEAD
I bought a 800 bucks gaming rig back in February 2009 (Q9550,ddr2 gskill 4gb 4-4-4-12, 650w corsair, ati 4870 sapphire, Antec 900 Two) and I see myself playing all the games I was already playing on my Pentium 4. Replaying them. All the games I've tried in...
260 over 4870 any day of the week.
Way better game optimized drivers. CUDA and PhsyX support.
And I own myself a 4870, which it's amazing card but 260 is even better by small, but to have in account, margin.
Well... If you have the money for a gtx 295... Go for it, it's best GPU on market. For games. Not price wise but power cappable and no headaches with ATI's drivers or not optimized games for dual cards.
I mean if I had 1000 USD right now to (waste) buy myself any gift I would certainly go for...
If you can afford a 285 and you rolling on a 24" monitor, don't even think twice. Go for it. You will never regret it.
285 GTX way better than 4870x2 and 4850x2. Not because it's more power cappable but because it has way less driver issues and sadwich cards are not optimized for most games...
People says you can't wrong with either 4870 1gb or the 260 216.
Well... If I had had the choise I would have chosen the GTX 260 216sp over the 4870 1GB any day of the week.
I'm fine with my 4870 at 1920x1080 but NVIDIA has way better drivers, less issues, CUDA, PhysX and overall 1-2 fps...
I have an ati x800xt 256 Club 3D. I paid 471 euros for it.......................... And I say it because I want to be insulted for such wasted of money like 3-4 years ago.
I'm upgrading to PCIe thrusday 12th of March. 4870 or 260. Not sure yet.
Add Empire Total War on top of that list.
As the time comes the argument "For gaming you don't need more than a dual core, almost no games use more than 2 cores" it's comming to an end. Funny how owners of these try to convince you with the same argument they were convinced with.
IT's the motherboard, EXACTLY same thing happened to me. I could be playing any game, GFX wouldn't go over 70ºC and suddenly without warning comp freezes.
Changed mobo, kept same setup and been working wonders for a whole year. 0 troubles.
I hope they make Windows 7 worth the money. I'm planning to use Win Vista Sparrow version for my new pc.
How can they possible make us understand that it's normal a SO to be more expensive than 6gb of ddr3 ram? Insane
I almost paid for a i7 920 config but then I realized I could save 400 Euros by going 775/Q9550 setup instead. You've got 4gb of PC2 8500 ram for almost nothing, decent mobo for over 100 and that for me was a big reason to not pay extra premium price.
My country sucks so maybe in yours the...
Hi gentlemen. Thing this time is I'm buying an i7/p6t locked in with a gtx260. These guys at the shop have no idea what model are they selling since they say their supplier doesn't know/tell. The GTX 260 standard I'm buying comes with the FarCry 2 full game and the FarCry2's logo on the box, is...
No idea what is polketmania. I'm from Canary Islands, North afrika. The LC costs 87uros and the Corsair one 96uros
I don't plain to do OC the first years because I tend to make things light a fire on them for no reason
Cheers to all
They said that ukranian based company is best PSU supplier in europe and convinced me because it was cheaper than TX650. I arrived to my house, searched for this PSU on net and found real quick 2 people experiencing comp shutdown when playin demanding games with the LC
Thank you all for...
I'm buying I7 next thrusday. Any recommendation misters?
Should I go crapy MADX3 instead? I've heard they nice
I'm going from a Pentium 4, will I notice difference?
Hi gentlemen. Thing is, I'm buying new computer next week. My intention is to go with a Corsair TX650 for this spec:
I7 920
P6T normal
OCZ Gold 1333 , 3x2GB
XFX GTX 260 Standar 216sp
ANTEC NINE HUNDRED TWO
Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB
DVD LG H22N
Don't think I'll go into OC...
A lot of people use the argument the same argument to say "don't buy an i7, get a penryn and invest the difference in a better Graphics card".
That's a bit off.. you can play perfectly with a 4850 for 150 bucks as long as you remain in a 1620x1050 (20" monitor) resolution.
Because money also pays rents, debts, food and basically lets you live in society. I ain't no rich bitch so as long as complain about prices is free... :o
Price:$319.99
I'm waiting untill Feb-March... In europe right now, 378 Euros for i7 920, and 410 for p6t Deluxe......................
No Mother Fucking Fuck Fuck Waaay.
People saw "Free E7300" and already 3 full pages of beggars who probably would resell this processor in no time.
God damn greedys people, and you belive in baby jesus? 3rd Deadly Sin Greed, avaritia.
And just in case any of you cretins dare to say I'm the one who wants the chip, you are...
I'm not buying a thing untill prices come down. It's abusive right now. 1200 Euros for a personal computer... And nothing fancy or extreme, just the medium range. Not only prices are high they have to include, margin benefits and huge taxes... Silly at best.
I don't want a halt in technology...
There is sense in your post.
I might add that in my experience with this P4 I've had for over 4-5 years now, I've been able to play any games that support Shaders 2.0. You name it, I can run it. Of course, only at 1280x1024 with almost no eye candy but just because my ATI X800XT is...
I have this rig from back 2004 or 2003, can't remember. It's a Pentium 4 , is it worth to jump in the I7 - Nehalem wagon? or a Q9550 x38 4 gig 800 is enough for gaming and some amateur editing?
I don't see why i7 is going to be so expensive in Europe. It's retailed to cost here 378 Euros the model i7 920 (2,6Ghz), the lowest one. Some maths 378 Euros = 484,33 U$D A fucking armed robbery.
It costs intel 200$ extra bucks just to move a 100 grams? processor from USA to EU?
