If you can afford a 285 and you rolling on a 24" monitor, don't even think twice. Go for it. You will never regret it. 285 GTX way better than 4870x2 and 4850x2. Not because it's more power cappable but because it has way less driver issues and sadwich cards are not optimized for most games...
