Looking to get this case to use as my HTPC, got a couple of questions.
Does it generally run hot under air cooling?
What sort of clearance do you have for the heatsink? (max heatsink height?)
Will an Enermax MODU82+ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194031) fit ok...
Hi all,
I have been following many boards, especially HTPC boards, for a long while and have been working on a project in association with another HTPC enthusiast.
We have created http://www.allhtpc.com as a place where everyone can go with HTPC as their common interest. We just released...
Hey jcmuse,
I don't think there is any real advantage/disadvantage to using stainless steel over aluminium besides the weight factor. Everything else should be pretty much the same, I guess you are going to get it painted as well. I recommend powder coating if you can afford it, it will save...
Hi all,
I am looking for a SFF case to liquid cool. Right now I am considering either the Lian Li PC-V350 or the Lanbox Lite. I will also be possibly running 2 4870s, at least one for sure, so card length will need to be taken into account. Which one would be better to fit a watercooling system...
Budget: <~$200
I will probably be overclocking but nothing major. I know there is no "gaming" motherboards, I used that term to hopefully indicate some of the features I would be looking for, such as suppport for faster RAM (1066 or higher), PCIe 2.0 16x (only necessary on one since I will...
Hey
Looking to switch into a SFF case (probably Lian LI PC-V350) for ease of carrying to/from LAN. What are some good gaming mATX motherboards? Is the new DFI 790GX-M2RS the best these days?
AMD or Intel, either or.
Thanks!
I believe it is called a 6pin Din connector, not sure how to find one with a flat bottom, but maybe this helps:

Fantastic work so far.
The cuts you made on the wiring plate were by dremel and then filed or what?
Pity the lower half of the power supply looks a bit cluttered with the wires compared to the top, even though i know you have something planned for it.
Never heard of Nesteq, any good? How do they compare to Corsair etc.?
I heard the quiet drives don't work so well, was considering trying one of the aquadrives.

I will agree that the Feser tubing tends to kink faster than Tygon, even when using thick walled stuff, but I still really like them.
I may have missed it but how many loops you plan on running in this? Also, you gonna leave that radiator 100% passive?
Tubing looks sick. Is that solid white tubing or clear? Some pictures look clear some look solid white. Either way amazing quality.
I think I am going to try using some white spray paint designed for plastic on the connectors.
I see from the pictures it appears you painted the case yourself. The high quality pictures show that it is an excellent paint job.
If you don't mind sharing, what sanding/painting methods do you use?
Also, I have been making some headway on finding "true white" power connectors. I will...
Message I received from DFI:
I contacted Newegg and they said they could not tell me / release that information.
I contacted DirectCanada and they said they have a purchase order placed for them but do not have a firm date for receipt of shipment yet.
I have also contacted a couple other...
Where did you end up getting the white sleeving kit Tremeloes? I was looking for one. Also do you know anywhere to buy "true, rich, deep white" connectors? The white ones that come on cheap PSUs aren't a very deep white if you understand what I am saying.
Unfortunately I haven't. Try googling for some reviews, but a general rule of thumb would be to look at the price comparatively. Chances are a $400 is better than a $100 one in this regard.
There are "offline" and "online" UPS systems. Offline systems only switch to the backup battery when there is a power failure or spike, while online systems run through the battery 24/7 giving a much cleaner and seamless power stream.
I personally use a 1500VA (~865 Watts). From my research...
I am building a hard drive cage but the outsides of the cage will be inaccessible to remove screws holding the hard drives. Therefore i want to preinstall drive rails and then install rails on the hard drives so they can pull in/out as necessary.
Any idea where to buy sliding rails for hard...
If I run from DirecTV to s-video in, the signal have gone through the decoder (directv box) and it's a simple video out -> videon in. Shouldn't be scrambled.
Looking at the following parts:
I will be running either DirecTV or my satellite via my 4DTV receiver into the capture card to record etc. Should I wait on the HVR-2250?
Also, what is the onboard sound on the 780G like, should I grab a Xonar?
GIGABYTE GA-MA78GPM-DS2H Motherboard...
