I really enjoyed the campaign. It forces you to move slower and think more tactically, not just rush in to battle. And firefight is like Nazi zombies on steroids. i love playing it with my brother on Lost Platoon. killing convenant on a 'hog is quite fun.

Corsair's are very well built, so the 620 should do just fine. You might want to consider a higher wattage for future upgrades.

I recently bought a pair of refurbished Sennheiser HD555s off of amazon for about $55 and I love them. They are very comfortable, spacious, and have good bass when amplified. You can check head-fi.org/forums for more info/reviews on headphones. That's usually the best place to start.

I thought the LG has 1:1 pixel mapping, so shouldn't that make any 1920*1080 source look correct? I haven't heard of that problem before. It looks like its probably going to be the G2400WD unless I find another recommendation. I guess I'll keep looking for monitors.
