hey guys, im after a new FAST rig, £100 is my limit (may go alittle over if needed) 2x F1 500GB RAID 0 1x F1 1TB any other suggestions? this would be for everything like my OS programs games etc

not long, its just this harddrive i have atm is a pieceo f s*** maxtor 250GB sata

this is a hard decision for me atm, i can go RAID 0 F1x500s or grab 1TB. i would like to make a decision before wednesday so i can get it up and in my pc :D would the F1 500s not be fasteR?

1TB F1 has 334GB platters, so its no to raid?

so you think i should grab 2x500GBs or 1x1TB F1 im looking for best performance, the 1TBs are back in stock today.

max of £100 thats why ive been saying should i raid something like 2 500gb f1s?

you spelt it out to me :) i just mistaken that the bench was RAID 1 not RAID 0, still 1tb?

This is what a friend posted about 2x500 F1s 2 F1 500's in RAID1 benched using HDtune Pro 3.00 result: Access Time 13.6ms Burst Rate 157.7mb/s Transfer rates min 47.9mb/s ave 76.2mb/s max 95.3mb/s - does that add up to anything better than a 1tb?

so just grab a 1tb?

what kind of performance increases are we talking about here?

but thats say i back up everything i need and wouldnt mind installating XP again like in a few years, i dont do many images and thats im only wanting sheer performance for booting XP and for my music and videos

but for lets say best performance, would raid be it ?

so i should just grab a 1TB F1 for £97 or grab two smaller drives, £100 limit

which would these be? i was thinking if i done Raid 0 i would back all my main things on my external harddrive, im not a photo imager or anything like that. just a gamer that enjoys his ipod etc

Hi guys, at the moment i have a maxtor (SATAI) 7200, 250GB harddrive and my space is nearly 20GB left. im planning on either these two, which do you think is best? F1 500gb's (or anything thats better) Raid 0 (two drives) F1 1TB thanks to anyone that replies

RAID1, this raid backs up everything onto each disk but will only leave you with 500GB

Samsung are quieter and alot better (1TB F1 edition)

if i was you i would use DVI to scart instead of HDMI so you save yourself that slot that can be used for what its needed best

ive heard these at i33 in england and man they are the best 2.1s out there the price can be abit OTT but what you get is what you buy, they are high quality and they thought about a razer touch pad its sick

anything above 1.38v will muck your cpu up after a few weeks ;)

believe coretemp, always core 3 and 4 will eb hotter than core 1 and 2 due to it being on the bottom and the other two on the top, 13c higher could be what it has my gap from core12 to core23 is around 4c in this hot weather in the uk im idling around the 40s 35s

I have no budget, i have £300 in the bank, would like to keep it abit around the £100 and if i do spend over i definatly want to hear a big difference

wouldnt a piece of paper tape around do the trick? with my new LG 22" wide (that i had to get a refund didnt like playing on that res 1680 x 1050 in gaming) all the cables had a little plastic cover that was quite tight fitting dont know where you would get them from

usually the latest monitors (mine is quite old now 2years) they have DVI and VGA, VGA is fine for 360 and i use DVI for my pc, little button infront to swap them together. i remember back in the day taking VGA of pc out to get 360 in but now i dont im thinking about dual monitors aswell
