Hi. I'm in a GPU upgrade dilemma and looking for advice.
I'm able to buy a new Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Ti ZT-60802-10P for $180. I currently have an EVGA 012-P3-2066-KR GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores FTW card. It works great (though it puts out some serious heat), but I run all my games at...
Hi. I have a Corsair Force 3 SSD (latest firmware) that's worked great for months until about a month ago.
Randomly, every few weeks, when I cold boot my computer the SSD (on SATA port 1) will not be found by BIOS. Sure enough, when I go into the BIOS menu I cannot locate the drive, but I can...
Thanks for the replies, everybody. Sounds like I should just stick with my crippled SATA2 connection until I do a full upgrade. At least this should be faster than an HDD...
PCI-E. Sorry. Original post updated. Was thinking about possibly this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815318001 Too bad it only has one vague review.
Hi. My rig's stating to get up there in age (still running a Core 2 Quad Q6600). I wanted to do something nice for it since I don't have the funds to build a new one yet. So I impulsively bought a 120GB Corsair Force 3 SSD.
The SSD is SATA 3. My mobo is an ASUS P5QL/EPU, and only has SATA 2...
As much indifference as I felt toward the demo, I'm thinking the full version might be fun to play through once.
It managed to capture a bit of my heart in the small things. Having the marine tell me my drawing of a stick figure with a huge dick and guns shooting the alien was "a good plan,"...
Hi!
I bought an old Acer Aspire One D250/AOD250 and installed Win 7 Professional on it. Everything was working fine for a good month until just a few weeks ago, when suddenly the sleep function would do a hard shutdown on the netbook. It now doesn't matter which way I do it - close the lid...
UPDATE:
Last night I removed all four sticks of memory and tried them in pairs and individually in all of the different slots. Same result: nothing happened. I also removed the motherboard battery but still had no luck booting to Windows or even able to get into BIOS.
Im now thinking...
So I’m having a bit of a problem that I could use some help on.
Over lunch I went home to boot up my PC and … nothing. It would show the Gigabyte mobo logo on the screen, flash to black, show the Gigabyte logo, flash to black, etc. I’m not sure if it was rebooting as it...
Ditto. I've found myself gravitating toward Bayonetta more than Darksiders. Storywise, Darksiders takes itself a little too seriously. I like friggin' ridiculousness of Bayonetta.
I rented the PS3 version this morning and have been playing it non-stop. Yes, there's some screen tearing and it does have a lot of load times (though most are 30 seconds or under) but the game is a hell of a lot of fun to play. Will certainly be picking this one up for my PS3, especially if...
Thanks for all the advice! Turned out to be the damnedest thing. I just had to turn off OCing and go to factory defaults and it works fine now. I guess I just won't overclock.
Thread can be deleted now if needed.
Hey everyone! I have a Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L mobo and over the past few months it's been impossible to restart on my machine. Whenever I reboot, instead of going through its normal routine, it will continuously reboot (without going into Windows) and I'm forced to shut it off by using the power...
Hopefully this doesn't cross into piracy, but I'm actually looking at buying one of the modded and now banned Xbox 360s because right now I'm too cheap to buy a new one. The idea of playing on Live has never appealed to me, as most of the games I want to play I do on my PC. There's just a few...
Totally love my swans! Check on eBay too. I got my from the same seller for $89.
As for the sub, I was originally thinking about getting one, and might still later to fill out the sound, but honestly these have good base. Either way, you won't regret the this set of speakers.
Not really for sure where to post this...
Starting about two weeks ago my computer would occasionally get stuck in this "reboot loop" when I try to reboot. It would boot, then restart itself before the BIOS screen, then restart itself before the BIOS screen again repeatedly until I manually...
I do have a question about 7 though... did they ever solve the problem of only allowing the windows to be one size in the RTM? Like whenever you resize a window every other new documents window you open will be that new size rather than the default.
Does anyone have trouble with the game just crashing after fighting about the tenth character? I'm playing through the hardest mode to unlock all the characters and I keep having to repeat it because of this crash. On Windows 7 RC1 by the way...
I know this is a little off-topic, but I want to reduce the number of threads...
...but I'm looking more and more at the Swan D1080MkII's. How's the base on them compared to a 2.1 setup? And also how does the sound compare to the Swan M10?
Sorry to be an Inquisitive Isaac, but I haven't found...
Yeah, can't forget the pr0n in true X-Fi.
My two cents: If you're happy with onboard audio, stick with it. After I made the leap to a soundcard through (Titanium Fatal1ty), I noticed a big improvement in percussion, even with my craptastic Creative speakers.
Thanks, DragonMaster! Those Swan Divas you linked are simply beautiful! I've pretty much made up my mind to go for Swans, as another pair of cheap plastic speakers just doesn't seem that great. Plus, I've read about a lot of problems with the Klipsch ProMedia series.
Bummer. I would totally bite if I lived near the Uni of Michigan, but no such luck. I'd have to have them shipped.
So, in your opinion, how to Swans sound?
Hey everyone. I currently run with a pair of Creative Inspire 2.1 2500's, which have served their purpose for several years. I've got a little money though and am looking to upgrade to something a lot better, as I love music. However, my research has left me a little confused as to what to get...
From what I've read about the leak it sounds like the version available isn't the final version, mostly due to files with old dates, CRC install errors and the lack of content. If I remember correctly, The Sims 2 leaked this way too, with the RTM version still safe.
