Hello all,
I am trying to get a static NAT translation working on the ASA 8.2.
Here is the actual static command:
static (outside,inside) 10.0.50.238 x.y.158.238 netmask 255.255.255.255 tcp 1000 100
the access list allowing traffic to the server:
access-list outside_access_in line 2...
I've recently purchased a total of 9 Hitachi 5K3000 2TB, part number:
HDS5C3020ALA643
Four of them were manufactured in December 2010, and five of them were manufactured in March 2011. They are all blue PCB drives.
I've run DFT on all of them, and seven are being detected as 1TB drives...
I'm a Verizon FiOS Customer, but with a twist:
We got service installed a while ago (sometime around 2007, as I recall).
When we got hooked up, our area was all DSL. So Verizon used PPPoE to connect us, as opposed to new FiOS installs which use DHCP.
Now, that's no big deal, a couple...
Evening [H]ardForum posters,
First, a bit of background. This fileserver (we're going to build two, but they'll be identical) is going to live at a local college radio station. We need something to store archived programs - it works out to about 8TB per year of shows that we record. Also, we...
Hi guys,
I'm looking at upgrading the graphics card. Specifically, I'm looking at MSI's HD6850.
However, I still use CRT displays. The HD6850 only has one DVI-I connection. I was wondering whether I can use a DisplayPort -> VGA DAC to connect the 2nd CRT. I've been looking at this StarTech...
I've noticed terrible performance across these two drives (2x 750GB Samsung F1's) lately, with lots of stuttering in games and video. I ran crystaldiskmark on both. Here's the results:
C:\
D:\
I'm going to order 2x WD 500GB drives to replace them (will put in RAID1)
Just received a 'new' 3745 tonight, it's running IOS 12.3 Enterprise Services off the 64MB flash card they included with the router.
I am getting an IP address from my ISP (Verizon) via PPPoE. I can ping sites like google.com, gmail.com, and a server I have set up a 158.123.198.237.
Other...
Hello,
I am looking to build a storage server for a radio station. This will be used to hold archives of program material that we air, we are expecting to consume 7TB of storage capacity per year. For our archiving needs, we do not need a particularly fast system, we are merely recording...
Hi, I'm currently working on a medium-sized network install. I'm wondering if plenum-rated cable is required if all of the runs are totally enclosed in conduit. I'm going to have some runs passing through a drop ceiling, however, I'd like to put the runs in conduit since this is a laboratory...
At the local college radio station we're looking to get a good quality network storage system. We just recently lost quite a bit of data as the Netgear ReadyNAS it was stored on (with no backups) died (as my appeals to get a proper backup solution went unheard).
It seems to me like an iSCSI...
Gigabit switches will still function at Gigabit line-speed even if there is a 10/100 only device connected to the switch. Even if your router is only 10/100, you can still buy a gigabit switch and get Gigabit connectivity. In this situation, attach all Gigabit devices to the Gigabit switch, then...
To elaborate on this: I'm off to college soon and I've got some servers that I'm going to set up. I have standard Xeon based systems, some UltraSPARC systems (a Sun Fire v880) and two IBM RS/6000 systems, 7026-H50 and a 7026-H70 (PPC and RS64-II, respectively). VMWare ESXi is an option, I'm not...
