So this used to work fine for me on 5.5 and earlier - add the hard drive in vsphere, rescan the scsi bus, sudo vgextend, whatever.. In Ubuntu 16.04 x64, the rescan just isn't seeing anything. Is there something basic that I'm missing or has this somehow broken?
