Let me put it this way. If you ever decide to buy the Samsung 225BW, I will trade you my 2007WFP and pay for shipping both ways. I'm satisfied with my 2007WFP because it was cheap but I wouldn't fool myself into saying it's better than other name brand monitors like Samsung, NEC, or even LG. :P

Samsung 215TW. I can't believe Dell 2007FPW is leading. LOL... That's what I have right now and it's by no means the best 20-21" LCD monitor. Most people have it because it's cheap as hell. Talk about biased...

Snowdog said it best. Dell's aren't Samsung or LG but they are very very cheap. They aren't bad either and 3 year warranty is a big plus. Heck, even I couldn't justify spending $200-300 more on a better monitor. I'm pretty satisfied with my Dell 2007FPW.

High pitch noise is definitely not normal. You should try to get it fixed. Try calling Samsung tech support. They have an amazing replacement warranty.

It might be your video card... or your DVI cable.

I don't think your onboard video card would support widescreen resolution, but I might be wrong. I don't see why you would spend more money on a monitor with dvi-i if you don't plan on using it though.
