I want to convert my antec psu to a standalone psu. Besides shorting out the green wire with ground, is there anything else I would need to do? Can i safely run the psu without a load for an extended period?
Best option for you is to sell your gift card on ebay and use that to get some real headphones. Some headphones that come to mind are senheisser hd555/hd595, beyerdynamic dt770/dt880, and audio-technica ath-500/ath-900. A little more effort but you'll be a lot happier in the end.
