I'm all for paying less taxes, I just find it ironic that the high tax liberals at Apple do it themselves. I guess they think "do as I say, not as I do."
Its not the Second Coming, but it was a good movie. Definitely worth seeing. It covered a lot of ground and some things were not developed. Maybe in the second movie.
The doomsday preachers have been at this since Malthus, and they've always been wrong. This is getting tiresome. The solution is always some sort of control mechanism, with the people making the noise conveniently in control.
Those awful white men. Think of all the horrible things they've done - like discover gasoline and invent the automobile, how to generate and transmit electricity, the internet, phones, smartphones, TVs, airplanes, antibiotics, how DNA works, air conditioning, steel, and on and on. We need to...
Everyone in England is never more than 70 miles from the ocean. London is a large, reasonably-dense city. One-hour delivery works in those circumstances.
Facebook was great for catching up with some old friends, but its pretty much over for me now. There is only so many times you can see someone's selfie, read a poorly-written political screed, watch someone be mentally ill in public, or be subjected to mind-numbing poltically-correct crusades...
I like seeing Jobs portrayed as the asshole he really was. I would like to see something covering the later Apple years, instead of the start. We've gotten the start several times already.
Did his "glass yacht" ever get finished by the way?
I don't understand why everyone hates Windows 8. Just get Start 8 from Stardock if you need the Windows 7 desktop. Windows 8 runs faster in less memory. It networks better. And so on. I like it....with Start 8.
Still seems like a pie in the sky idea to me. If you look the full version for just that one city will cost $7 to $16 BILLION. How can this be feasible?
Let's be honest. Its really actually amazing there have only been 20 major ones. The fact it works as well as it does the vast majority of the time is pretty great. Microsoft gets so much crap from people, none of who could do any better.
Don't sales of EVERYTHING drop after the holidays? This is the opposite side of the coin from "sales surge during holiday shopping." It is still up 4% over the same time period last year. Guess that doesn't sound as dramatic.
Okay, how about this? How about our movies and games no longer have small, skinny female characters somehow kicking people across rooms and beating roomfuls of hulking (obviously male) figures in hand to hand combat?
Do either of these aisles say "boy" or "girl"? Is there a law keeping this girl from getting something out of the "boy" aisle? This girl, and adults who should know better, wants to both have "nothing different" but also have things marketed specifically to her!
They get 10 billion page views, so yeah, they are reluctant to change things. Change for changes sake is stupid. These complaint articles about companies and their "guy culture" is really, really getting old. Its like being male is abnormal on its face. Maybe that "guy culture" is what made...
I just don't get the "Beats" thing. Its basically a glorified equalizer setting. Now, my HTC One does sound great for a phone, but that is more due to the fact it has a decent speaker (for a phone) and even a small amp. I can turn Beats off and it still sounds great.
Does anyone else get weird vibes from this? He leaves Microsoft for Nokia. Nokia then partners with Microsoft. Later Microsoft buys Nokias Devices divisions with all its patents. Now he leaves Nokia to go back to Microsoft and he's a candidate to be CEO! Seems fishy to me.
"Oh, she looks fine. I'm not getting any leathery whore vibes from her."
Dude, she was banging Barra before Brin - apparently at the same time for a while. Then they force Barra to resign and now she's with Brin. Oh, and she moved from England to the US and was made "marketing director" for...
First off, he found a woman willing to both marry and live with him for six years who is also good looking and brilliant. This new chick looks like she's been rode hard and put to be wet quite a few times if you know what I mean. Anne Wojcicki, I am free if you're interested!
Google isn't a charity. Now, if Bill Gates says the two founders should give more, or directly finance charities, then that's his choice. But Google is a business. Bill Gates himself didn't become charitably involved until his retirement. Ironically, because Microsoft was run as a business...
I think people are misunderstanding. Current NAND reads around 26 mbps, so this is not much slower. The speed you see on your SSD is ALL the chips put together doing through the controller on the drive. A RRAM drive need not be much slower than our current SSDs. At least thats how it seems...
Except they're not giving to charity, feeding the poor, starting universities and hospitals, or getting misunderstood and maligned by people who think they're much smarter than they really are. I can't wait to read the "religious wars" argument even though the Assyrians, Babylonians and Romans...
How do you know its boring if you're not engaging in it? Dude, get in shape, take pills if necessary, and spend time on HER! Make her beg for you and it will work out, I promise.
Yep, he is. The arrogance required to even think you can truck in heavy machinery and do all this in a National Forest is mind-boggling - and I'm not even an environmentalist.
