Looking at one of these to replace a XFX Radeon 5850 1 GB PCI-e 2.0. Light gaming, probably some WoW/WoW Classic, Fortnite, and various CoD games. Hit me a PM with which one and a paypal addy.
Looking for an upgrade from a XFX Radeon 5850 to pass on to my son, so needs to be PCI-e 2.0. Being that it's an old ass card, most of the stuff I'm seeing in the normal channels are 3.0
Whatchu got? Originally was looking at NZXT H200i. Also looked at the Coolermaster H100.
The NZXT H400i comes highly rated for micro ATX. Thoughts/plans/ideas/other cases to consider?
I’ve also looked at Thermaltake stuff too.

This was the last computer that I built; all from the H, and it's lasted me this entire time (9ish years) with only a few upgrades (added a SSD, mainly).
Things still haven't really changed. Pretty sure I'm still using the same...
About the monitor? I'm sorry, I totally didn't see it. Not necessarily I'm pretty happy overall with this one, as it's served me well for quite a while. I'd probably leave it "as is" for now. This desk I'm currently using doesn't leave me a lot more room over top of the monitor, maybe another...
I thought I'd set the list to public.
Question, since i've been out of it: does the size of the PCI-e slot matter? This is the card I have, which is PCI-e x1
If said card will work in a PCI- 2.0 slot, then moot point. But, like I said, I've been out of it for a while now.
Here is one I'd put together about a year or so ago when I was trying to get an idea where I'd be at for a straight streaming rig.

Not sure how well those parts would play together, however.
I don't have a problem with transferring old stuff to a new case simply because I'd more than likely give it to the kids. Trying to decide whether or not I should keep the blackmagic cards in the old one, or put in the new one, as well. But, knowing kids, they'll install all sorts of...
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Some games (mostly Dota2, WoW, and prob Heroes of the Storm) and livestreaming (and some editing) of fights.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Don't have one in mind. Can probably get away...
For me, they haven't all been on the same character, and they've been varying degrees of suck. But it's weird how it works out.
Also, random question: In damage comparisons, do they take effects into account? Like, I have a 1H axe with a bleed effect. Hard to tell if it takes that into account.
I just want to be sure I'm not wasting $20 because it won't work like my kids think it will. They just swap back and forth on the LIVE account as it is. Didn't know if it was tied to the Xbox or the LIVE account.
It does, and was an answer I also found. So, long story short this probably ISN'T going to work how I want it since it would be on the same LIVE account.
We got my son an xbox for Christmas 2 years ago. All was fine and well.
couple months ago, he traded a friend for another (I don't know how it worked, but whatever).
He gave it to his sister.
She is asking to buy the digital version of Minecraft. I'm worried that I'm going to end up...
I managed to find that right after I posted this. It just doesn't make sense to me, at all. But whatever. Is what it is. That asus board fits what I need nicely.
Looking at pricing something out and trying to get a baseline of where I'm going to be to make a "smaller" system for lugging around to different events (I do videography for a small, local MMA promotion).
Long story short, I have 2 BlackMagicDesign Intensity Pro cards that I'm using that...
I understand that. And yes, 2. As I'm glancing over things, I'm realizing where it leaves me. It just sucks ass lugging a full size case in and out. I did find some MicroATX cases that may work, however.
Currently I am using a USB one. It's not bad. But, I'm also streaming from a hotspot that...
I'm still trying to get a baseline of where I'm at. If I can build a straight streaming rig for ~$500, then i could take that to my promoter and possibly build it prior. Unfortunately, due to said volatile nature, I am way, way out of the loop anymore since the PC market evolves so quickly...
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Streaming MMA events and gaming (unless I can get away with upgrading my current rig for one or the other)
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Probably a grand or so. Could stretch it a bit...
I got back into Dota2 recently. Need to try LoL and Heroes. Had both installed forever, just never picked them up.
I'm not sure how I feel about this, like some ssaid, Blizz seems late tot he game. But I think people will pick it up simply because it's Blizzard.
So, I'm doing live broadcasts of an amateur MMA show. I'm trying to do live graphics, but they always seem to lag out, skip through, and look like ass when I try to play them through Wirecast.
My computer is slightly dated at this piont (just over 3 years old), but I think the RAM is my...
I'm having so many issues with all this, but I'll keep plugging away, I think I'm just going to try it in 1080 since that is what the cameras are at. figure it'll be easier than downconverting. I can do that at a later date with handbrake.
The video just doesn't look as good in the digital...
For some reason WinDV isn't seeing the card or the camera. Ended up using Win Movie Maker and it worked pretty well. There are a few kinks in it, but I like it a lot better than the one in Sony Vegas.
Want to bump this. I need to still play with it, as well, but I'm getting pissed at this dude. He sends me the settings then tells me the quality isn't good. Well, duh. You're having me record at 640x360!
Isn't he, though!?!?! My son is apparently an angel, from what I understand. The best part was when I directly confronted him about it, and it still wasn't him. He was the only person on the computer that day, yet it somehow wasn't him.
