Hey all, As the subject states, I'm looking for desk arms for my 30's. I've noticed that most arms are listed as supporting up to a 24" display, however some will hold up to 33 lbs. My LP3065's weigh about 30. Think it would fit? Here's one I've been looking at...

Mint is based off Ubuntu. So if you've tried Ubuntu, then you pretty much have tried mint. If you want real performance try Gentoo or Arch.

Oh please. Try comparing Win7's performance to a real linux distro such as Arch. It will blow Win7 out of the water any day of the week. And it will use 10 times less memory. Oh and its free! :p

2. The macbook comes with a better OS than the thinkpad. Although this issue is easily solved by throwing a Linux Distro on the thinkpad. The only fault I can find with the macbook pro 13" is that Apple doesn't offer a matte option for the screen. In the end you can't go wrong with...

Does your motherboard support Raid 5? If so, why not run that instead? With 2 Raid 1 array's, you would lose 2 drives, with Raid 5, you would only lose 1 drive out of 4.

Yup, Ubuntu 8.10 supports WWAN devices. Using my verizon card right now actually.

Go for a Thinkpad T series. They offer up to 1920x1200 for res. And its a thinkpad, nuff said. :)

I have 3 LP3065's and simpy love them!

I don't know about the best, but my HP LP3065's calibrated easily with the Spyder 3 Pro. I also work with Photoshop and Lightroom.

I must have better luck than most of you. I just received a Velociraptor 150, and 4 1TB Western Digital Black drives, packaged decently with bubble wrap + peanuts, tightly in the box. whewww! what a relief! :)

Ok this is weird, HDTACH is showing completely different results. Why are they so different?

Hey guys, Just installed a Velociraptor 150 and can't figure out why my burst speeds are low, access time is high, STR should be higher as well. I have it shortstroked @ a 56 gig partition. I should be somewhere around 5.5 - 6 as far as Access time. ABIT IP35 PRO / ICH9 Chipset...

Since hard drives slow down as they're filled up, I'll only assign 40% of the hard drive space for the OS and leave the rest unpartitioned. This way I keep the drive clean and prevent it from getting filled up. I dump everything else on my Raid 5 array.
