This is probably a dumb question, but I just want to make sure..... I'm really clueless when it comes to audio stuff.
Anyway, I was looking at the M-Audio Studiophile AV 40's and noticed they had input jacks on the back.......... so I was wondering.
link to back...
yeah i think i could get a 20" 4:3 aspect ratio though. idk though. i'll probably end up sticking w/ the widescreen. I wonder how long i can try it until circuit city wont take it back? lol
yeah, i already bought this one so if i'm sticking with widescreen i'm not going any bigger. and going any higher has a huge price jump. I'll just wait until you can get a 24" for $250 :)
I got a 21.6" widescreen Sasmsung SyncMaster 216bw from Circuit City a few days ago... the monitor is beautiful and has a great picture (much better than my old 17" LCD). My only problem w/ it is that I'm having a hard time getting used to widescreen. My brother has a 19" LCD and it is taller...
I figured I would ask here.
I need a printer to use for school. So mostly will just be printing text.. just need the basic printer.
HOWEVER, I'm also interested in networking a printer somehow. I'm not sure how to do this or how expensive it would be. So any info on that would be nice...

thinking about ordering this. it's kind of a spur of the moment thing. i have an old 17" LCD I'm using now, but I want a larger display (and didn't want to spend much over $200).
would my video card work for this monitor...
yeah, sounds like you just didn't notice it. that was one thing i liked about dell though was that it actually tells you the estimated ship date before you order. of course, that's also the reason i didn't buy this laptop. no way was i waiting that long.
still what i got won't ship until...
Hm, I just went to the Visa website and selected "lenovo" from the drop down list on the left, and then hit the button. it sent me to the lenovo website and the original prices were crossed out w/ the new prices shown.
go here...
I was looking for a tablet with the same budget as you. It seems that Thinkpads make some of the highest regarded tablets.
I ordered the Lenovo Thinkpad x61 Tablet last night from their website for $1,570 shipped (regular about 1900 but I got 20% discount for charging it on my visa.. which...
I bought a thinkpad x60 tablet PC that has no optical drive so I wanted to get an external drive to use when needed (which shouldn't be too often). Can anyone recommend a decent one that isn't too expensive? It doesn't have to be really fast or anything since I won't be using it much.
yeah, not really looking to switch to mac. i'd be afraid that it would be hard for me to figure out how to do things.. or find certain programs (or their mac equivalents) that i like to use. an ipod nano would be kinda sweet though :p but i already have an ipod. and i don't think i'd want to...
hm, i am interested in this notebook too. i wouldn't get any of the extras really though b/c I just want it to use for school (not games or anything). What made you choose this one?
Yeah, I considered a macbook.. but i've always been happy w/ PC so I don't want to switch now. I don't want to deal with upgrading parts and such either. Also I don't use firewalls/virus scanner or any of that stuff. Clearing off free trials doesn't seem too bad :D
oh, i don't really want to buy anything separate b/c i don't want to have to worry about finding the ram and putting it in and such. i don't care about a good graphics card or bluetooth..
both of those stores are an hour away :(
they're building a best buy now but it won't be done in time. I've actually never been in a best buy. I plan on buying online since you can normally find better prices :D
What do you mean by "check the configs"?
thanks
I went to circuit city to look at laptops today and I decided I definitely want one with a smaller monitor (around 14"). I wish that they had some of the think pads or tablets, but they didn't have any (didn't think they would). While there I looked at the Toshiba Satellite U305 and it seemed...
My plan was to type my notes and then just use the pen as needed... for arrows/diagrams/etc. Would that work? Or is there not a program that lets you type and make drawings on top of the text?
I looked it up and it looks like ultranav is having the little button to control the cursor on the keyboard and a touch pad as well. I could be wrong though.
Hm, I wonder why people don't use the pen. It seems it would be very handy when taking notes if you need to draw a diagram or arrows or a star or something. What's ultranav? I saw a couple of people on amazon recommended the Lenovo T60 too. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for your suggestion.
I need help picking out a laptop. My budget is $1500, but hopefully I don't have to pay that much to get what I want. It will mostly be used for school purposes... note taking, power point viewing, internet researching, etc. I'm going to be carrying it to and from classes so I'd like it not to...
Thanks for your response - It isn't a new build and it does boot up with no display. I'll try a different v-card. One thing though - my power supply has been making a grinding noise for a while now when it first comes on if that might have anything to do with it. I tried another power supply...
My monitor won't work on one of my computers. I know it isn't a problem with the monitor or the video card because I tried them in another computer and they worked fine. Anyone know what the problem might be?
