i'm using verizon right now, but not the 14.95 plan. that speed should be enough for gaming, although it won't be if you've got a lan set up and people are dling or using torrents on your network.. and i've never seen ANY dsl beat optimum.. been missin it ever since we moved.. :(

i've had an audigy mp3+ for about 5 years now, and it seems as though the bass is getting blown out.. i checked the EQ, the speakers, and even through my cans it sounds the same way.. i wasn't even aware this was possible! at times, i even hear a bit of popping/crackling when there is no sound...

i currently have a creative sub, a cheap one that came with 2.1 speakers many many years ago.. i'm actually giving thought to changing that as well. i know the dayton 10 is on sale at partsexpress, but i'm not crazy bout spending more money! heh.. thanks for the links btw, but i read those...

i've never heard the promedias before, but other speakers i've heard from klipsch are really good.. i guess i'll go over to bestbuy and check em out. but i really had my heart set on some nice bookshelf speakers.. =P

yea, i've always hated the way computer sat's sounded.. even from so-called "high-end" ones like the logitech 5500. to me, they sound built for games rather than music quality.. so what's the cheapest decent receiver to get if i decide to go that route? sub recommendations also welcome :cool:

my speed from infospeed--> 1514.6KBits (189.3KBytes) it's fine right now.. but like i said at times it will just hang for almost minutes at a time. :( phone line sounds ok, and all jacks filtered.

with the xp-90 it depends on your fan. most have it with a panaflo, and those are good for the most part. the venus cools great, but its loud.. if i find some comparisons, i'll be sure to post em here :D

well for me i thought there was only 1 direction to install it in.. but i heard that gravity is really crucial to the effectiveness of the heatpipes..

i push on mine, but haven't tried pulling yet. pretty cool of thermalright to make it so easy to switch fan directions though. i'm just lazy :p btw, in what direction should the heatpipes be oriented? mine is on the side.. i'm not sure if it would make a difference if i just switched it...

but when you place the xp-90 onto the cpu, isn't it kinda bad that you're scraping the edge of the cpu and the heatsink? i found this to be true when i first applied it. then when i rmaed my motherboard, i saw the the heatsink bottom was all scratched up :(
