Also shows a $40 MIR...

Why would anyone pay 100 bucks for ddr 400 when you can buy a motherboard and faster memory for less?

Any chance on a deal for the EVGA 8800 GTS 512 similar to the HardOCP one available for the GT?

Or perhaps something for the E8400? So I wouldn't have to try a pricematch?

Plan to order by tomorrow.

No motherboard + 2GB memory under 100$ together is worth the expense.
A good replacement for an old system requires CPU + Mobo +Ram at least - that spells over 200$ for a low end rig and above 350$ for one worth upgrading to...

.

I have a lot of clients still running DDR-based boxen and, for their usage, sometimes the mem upgrade is all they need at the time. Weighing a decent upgrade for ~$100 that'll extend the life for another year or two vs the ~$1k ea to replace is worth some consideration. Especially when you're looking at multiple boxes.

I'm seriously considering these. Questions though, first.

1) Can anyone tell me if these would exhibit performance advantage over cheaper PC3200, in a system that is NOT o'c?

2) Any personal opinions on these versus Kingston Hyper-X, OCZ Platinum, or Crucial Ballistix?

Thanks!

I'd be all over the EVGA 8800gts if we had free shipping on it (plan on using step up program also).

come on...i need free shipping on the cooler master 690. Just built a new $1000 computer with you guys last month but no monies for a new case when you had the last deal on this case. :(

Today newegg is having a huge 24 hr sell on cases.

http://www.newegg.com/Store/Category.aspx?Category=9&name=Computer-Cases

The cooler master 690 is not listed, but maybe you will find something else. I will still look into getting a discount on the cool master if you don't see anything you like

You're amazing. Marry me. Question though, why the price hike on Lian Li A05B (and S possibly?) I caught in on it at 79.99 last night, up to 89.99 today though.

The Antec EarthWatts EA 500 PSU at Newegg can be had for $35 AR with a coupon code from the email newsletter. It can't be stacked with the code listed above.

Need hard drive deal on...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136131
I need 4 of them.. So far I've seen them for a little under $150 at other places, so hopefully newegg can work some magic.

Here here!!! I agree with w1retap.. Newegg Webmaster,

Please cut us a deal on those drives. I'm in the market for two myself. Under 150 would be great. $145.00 would be SWEET!!!

(no rebates, please. )

I'd fully participate in this too :)

Or a similar sale on the Western Digital 1TB drives would be most awesome

Odd question but, I just ordered a bunch of stuff tuesday night or so (late) with rush processing. Stuff shipped out early this morning from both CA and TN, what are the chances of getting here by any time on Friday? Would love to attack it during the weekend and not during the week. Says it's scheduled for 28th (Monday) but is there a chance?

Happily picked up the Antec Earthwatts PSU today. Can't wait to finally complete my build.

this question might be better served with your local UPS rep

arg.. the coupon code only works for one drive though.. I need four of them.

also make note..

Newegg:
$154.99 * 4 = $619.96 minus $5 coupon code = $614.96 shipped

ClubIT:
$148.99 * 4 = $595.96 shipped

I'm a college student. Every dollar counts. $19 is a pretty significant difference. If you can match, or preferably beat ClubIT's price, I'll buy them in a heartbeat.

I'd really like it all on one order. I have a secured credit card and when I make more than two purchases in a row within a certain time period that are over $100 each, they put a hold on my card and I have to wait for them to call me to have it re-activated. :(

I have that same sorta thing. That sucks.

I just registered an account to get the ClubIT WD 750GB b/c it was free shipping and less $ than newegg... then I added SATA & power cables, price went up a little more (shipping was still = to ClubIT), but the cable selection from ClubIT really [to be honest] sucked. Got suckered back to newegg :p
They're still a quality business, but their price competitiveness is definitely weakening.

& PS

the $5 promo thing listed above didn't work

w1retap tried it w/several drives, I only got one - but I got it w/several other items, making it essentially useless. This was the response when entered:
"This promo code you entered is only available for specific programs."

What the .... is a specific program ??

What in the world does that mean? There's no 20, 200 or 2000mbit standards....

It usually means they do full duplex. 1000 up and 1000 down at the same time means 2000 total throughput. It's terrible.

Newegg Webmaster why the price hike of $10 overnight on the GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail? I was ready to pull the trigger, but now I can get it cheaper at a B&M...

Also, both these cases,
RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WBP Black SECC STEEL ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply - Retail
and
RAIDMAX NINJA ATX-918WB Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail,
look pretty nice, but the shipping, not so much. Any way you can work your magic with these?

Edit: The exact same Smilodon case without the power supply ships for free, any way this one with the power supply can do the same? (or at least have shipping be lowered to just the shipping charge of the PSU, say ~$4.99?)
Any of the above would greatly help in deciding where to get the components for my new PC!!

It's still $99.00 like it has been for quite some time now. I've been following it for a month trying to decide between it or a GA-X38-DS4.
