Huh? No, i wanted ppl to post ugly cases, what wrong about that, that it happens to be the minotaur that seems ugly to me doesnt mean this thread was "JUST" made for that purpose. It is for many ugly cases, not just one.

I personally think the Chenbro Xpider is one of the nastiest looking piles I've ever seen.... But that's just me.

I think the Alienware cases are alright.

Anyway, although I don't find it ugly, the case I have the least respect for is the TT Tsunami. Its a complete rip off of a Wavemaster.

The rule of thumb for me is any premod with plastic enhancements on it sucks. And anything with a stupid window design with like an X across the window or a stupid cut out design sucks too.
 
I can't find the ugliest case I've ever seen, cuz I don't think anyone sells it anymore! It was a steel frame, with purple or blue (can't remember) acrylic shell. Dang, that'd be the one you'd hide in your closet and use as a file server!! LOL :rolleyes:

The ugliest I saw today, while cruising around looking for the other one, is this one. Dang, only a mudder could love dat one!! :p

hahah, I used to have one of those. Had a plastic pop up handle on top too.
I'll also mention that out of all the 30~40 cases I've owned over the years, this one has the worst cooling of them all.

I'd have to agree, some of the cases out there are just fucking whack and impractical. I was trying to find computer cases for 25 machines to build for a company and when I looked on Newegg I lauged, imagining their reactions if I were to roll out the systems in that Transformer-shit hybrid design of a case.

My definition of a nice looking case is something more simple, like a Lian Li, not some impractical robot looking shit. Sorry, have to vent, but I have been seeing some very ugly shit out there and I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing.

Whatever happened to the simple design, an optional case window, a side case fan, maybe a handle on the top, and possibly an LCD on the front?
 
What I want to know is why all these ugly-ass cases are called "gaming" cases, and all have Game, Gamer, or Gaming and an X in the model name? I know the X probably is to indicate how "X-treme" these cases are, when it should probably stand for "X-fucking ugly case that only a junior high school kid with no friends would want".

Antec's P-160 looks pretty ugly to me, it's a shame too 'cuz it has a couple nice features (the hard drive cage for one, tho I still don't see the point of orienting it sideways... other than killing airflow). The plastic chrome-wannabe bezzel with all the vent holes is just fugly tho...

All I can think of when I see it is a rusted old import with one of those chain license plate frames and some flashy rims that make you wonder why the person didn't save up for a new car instead. Ok maybe that was a bit harsh... :cool:

Alienware's case is a bit gaudy but not too over the top imo, I've never seen close up pics of it's inside... All the external detail seems like it'd hamper cooling, dunno, not even sure what material it's all done one.

Agreed, except for the Tsunami. IMO its a great case, but the X window has to go. I'm gonna cut mine out into a square and replace the LED fans. And its not a ripoff of the Wavemaster, the only simalar part is the door, the rest of the case is like the TT Lanmoto case. Oh, and to make this post more on topic:

No offense or anything taken...I really don't like the front bezel on it myself (and have been told it's an ugly case before). I do like the features it has though...and I picked it up new for $25... :)
