What types of temperatures are you seeing with your 6800's?

Please list in this format:

Card Model
Temperatures
//Any comments

example:

6800 Ultra
50C idle/70C load
//Fanless, in Praetorian (what a crappy case)

Pny 6800
GPU Temp: 66 C : Ambient Temp: 47C
//Stock Speeds: 325mhz Core/ 700 mhz Memory

XFX 6800GT
43/50 Idle/Load
Watercooled with Swiftech MCW50 waterblock

The waterblock allowed me to overclock to 440/1150 stable (possibly even higher...i just haven't tried higher yet)

eVGA 6800gt @435/1140 (1.4v in bios)
45 idle - 53 load
koolance in a hot room =/

BFG 6800 GT OC @430/1150

Idle core: 48 C
Idle ambient: 31 C

Load core: 56 C
Load ambient: N/A

Do you have AC in your room? How are you getting such low temperatures from a Koolance GPU block?

Does your loop cool both the CPU and the GPU? If so, I'm kind of suspicious of yoru idle core temp of 45 and load of only 53 C.

Plz explain.

58idle -73load with bfg6800gt dual gan type ac5 coming wensday well see if it helps.
38 ambient

pny 6800gt
Koolance waterblock, temp. 40c idle...48c load on Farcry
//easy and cheap to install

EVGA Ultra

Stock 425/1100
Core 50c idle
Ambiante 35c

455/1180
Core 54c
Ambiante 36c

i sit around 32C idle
and about 48c full load

phase change cooling? those temps are pretty low...and we don't even know what kind of card it is!

Gainward 6800GT GS @ 417/1130
idle 50C, load 65C with case ambient around 28C
// I <3 my GT

sorry

BFG6800GTOC
using DD's new NV68 water block with a water chiller

BFGTech 6800 GT @ 402 core, 1100 mem

68 celsius under load.

I wouldn't worry too much; the throttle down temp for the gpu is default at 120 celsius.

There's no reason to believe that your nvidia gpu needs to run as cool as your cpu. Buy a nice card, with a good warranty and be happy. :)

Bfg Gt 6800.
54c.
57c When Playing A Game,
54c When Over Clocked.
63c Over Clocked Playing A Game

galaxy glacier 6800GT (one with NV5 cooling as standard)
at 400/1100 idle 52 gaming 58.
A bit less noise too (though by no means silent)

Yah, cooling both gpu and cpu. My room sits around 26-27c. 45 is my boot idle, it idles at 49c after load. But yah, it maxes out around 53-54c...but I have a lot of airflow around the card which keeps the ambient low around the block, so that probably helps some.

6800GT @ 418/1100 w/VGA Silencer 5
18C over card ambient idle
22C over card ambient load
//card ambient rises while under load. lines 2,3 have different "card ambient" temperatures

absolute temperatures are meaningless (besides cases where it's way too hot) since case temperatures vary.

PNY 6800 GT runnin at 440/1150
52 C idle near 80 C load
// i am thinkin of increasing my core clock to 450, but i dont know if this reference cooler can handle it, since stone elephants in farcry start to turn invisible after 6 or 7 hours of straight playin

BFG 6800 GT OC @415/1150
Idle core: 42 C
Load core: 52 C

Waiting for my NV Silencer...

BFG 6800 Ultra OC
Idle: 55*C
Load: ~75*C

//at stock BF OC speeds in a large full tower Lian-Li with plenty of ventilation

eVGA 6800gt 256mb, stock i run about 53-55 idle and 63-68 depending on what game im playing

Evga 6800
GPU 61
Amb - 41

This right now after running since 5:00 (12 now) been playen Ut04, Tribes vengence and tribes 2 as well as just browsing.

Usually idles at 60 and never goes above 65 it seems. Does this seem too hot?

eVGA 6800 GT (not overclocked)
Idle: depends on the type of month... if its summer it idles around 60C, and when its colder (like now) it idles around 50C
Load: ive seen it go all the way to 80C

Gainward "Golden Sample" 6800 2100
52 degrees celcius
OC 375/800

Comment: Im a casual gamer, thats why i opted for the little brother. :D

Card: Inno3D 6800GT 256MB
Clock Rates: 450/1300 @ 1.4v /w NVSilencer
Temps: Room: 22C / Case 26C / Idle 50C / load 77C

I'm getting a Prometia by the end of next month for my cpu and I'm gonna be putting togethor a VERY nice water cooling setup with a DTek Pro heatercore with dual 120mm fans and the DangerDen 6800 block on my 6800GT.....and it'll be the only thing on the water. I've gotten about half way through Aquamark3 with 455 or even 460 with room temps of 19C and core temps of a couple celcius lower.....so I know it's just temps holding me back @ 1.4v right now. I'll probly be looking at 470 or so on the core with the water cooling, possibly more if I end up bumping the card up to 1.5v. :D

xfx 6800 vanilla

69 Idle
79~92 Load

this is after some of the good old artic silver :D
I hate heat and so far all the 6800s (any flavor) I've seen run very hot

eVGA 6800gt @ stock
48/49 c idle 30/31c ambient idle
68c load (after about 25mins of rthdribl, I got impatient lol)
I have a lot of headroom for oc'ing but I just dont' see the point right now, It runs all my games great. Maybe later on when some games really start stressing it ill play with overcocking it. Oh btw, my comp is in my basement. It's always like 60ish f down here so that helps my temps a lot.

Dude, saying you have a load temp delta of 79-92 is ludicrous.....which one is it? It doesn't really make much sense to say that your load temperature ranges 13C....unless I'm reading that wrong.

eVGA 6800

49C idle. 72C Full on, throwin everything rthdribl2 has at her.

Stock cooling and at my max, artifact free, overclock of 390/900.

Happy enough with this to not give Newegg the 40 bucks they want for the NV silencer 5. I'll pick one up after I trade up to a GT. Maybe they will have come down to a reasonable price by then.
