I needed a 2.5" to 3.5" hard drive mount and didn't want to purchase one so I built my own from spare parts and pieces. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures while building it but these should suffice.
An old Quantum Fireball was used for the 3.5" frame. I removed all of the components and then used a hacksaw and dremel to cut out the middle of the aluminum drive frame.
Next I cut a piece of random sheet metal to the appropriate size and drilled holes to mount the 2.5 drive. I then used epoxy to attach it to the 3.5 frame.
After letting the epoxy dry I attached the 2.5" drive to the plate using screws and rubber washers for spacers.
Total Cost: $0.05 for Epoxy
