I used to have a stick of 512MB PC2700 Kingston Valueram. Served me well, but it was time for an upgrade. I bought a 512 stick of PC3200 Corsair XMS, and figured I could use it along with the Kingston to give me 1 gig and when I had the money I'd get another stick of corsair. Well, when I put the Corsair in and booted, it just gives me the long series of beeps saying that something's wrong, no post or anything. Either stick individually works, and I've tried every combination of the 2 sticks in the 3 slots. Are these two types of RAM just incompatable? Is there a bios update or something that could get this to work? Motherboard is a K8T Neo FIS2R.

It seems as though your two memory sticks are "incompatible" with each other, as far as your motherboard is concerned. Most Athlon64-based motherboards are very picky about matching memory speeds. And in your case, using both sticks together will force synchronous operation, which your Kingston PC2700 cannot really handle.
