20 Pin Connector

If I were to take out all the wires from my 20 pin connector for something like sleeving and I forgot which red wire goes in which hole will it make a difference if I use a different red wire than the one that was originally in that spot. Or do all red wires carry the same voltage or whatever so you can mix and match them as you please? Also, if this is true does it work for all wires...so I can use a yellow wire in any yellow wire spot and a green wire in any green wire spot.

that would hold true if Im not mistaken for any ATX12V PSU
but likely wouldnt with a truely compliant EPS12V (Split Plane)
easy to verify, look under the hood
