How do people make those 360 quicktime files or whatever, like those hotel preview videos hehe :D

take a buncha pictures using a tripod, and stitch them together using photo stitching software. some have the option to export to that qtvr format. panoramas are done teh same way.

Ah thanks (wheres the shy emoticon) lol. I feel like such a show off.

Nice. I used to have a Copperhead but it got messed up so I just sold it. I have a MX518 for gaming, G7 for just general stuff, and brand new Krait and Diamondback in the closet.

I had a W800, lost it, now I have a rare allure brown K790a. I replaced my Powerbook G4 with a new sexy black MacBook

Great photos guys, I love photography, so it's nice to see people taking more than half decent pics.

hehe :) I guess you are female since you are blushing? ;)

I still have my MX518, didn't really have to replace it since it's still a great mouse... Though I'm not really used to the Copperhead yet, I regret buying it sometimes, but I guess I'll have to live with it... :p

K790? Never seen that, have to google for it. :) The black macbook is hella schweet. This powerbook I have is like 3-4 years old or so... A 864 MHz G4 inside, no games works that good in it, well mame and like doom Legacy, hehe.

I have some pics on my webserver if you want to see? No pro stuff or so, just playing around with the camera.

Yeah, and there's a 360 camera aswell. Just put it in the room, push "go" and wait for it to make a 360 image. :)

Huge power cord!

I moved. Apartment still needs some finishing touches but the workstation is pretty much there. Here's my new setup, which is half productivity garden, half wireless gaming nirvana:

<br>
Front and centre speakers are behind the Dell 30 inch. Surrounds are mounted under the desk. This gives fantastic 3D positioning in games and movies with the x-Fi Platinum sound card. Notice there are no visible cords aside from the DVI cable under the monitor, which is like that because I'm trying to be as gentle as possible with the connector. There is a lamp behind the monitor which shines up onto the wall for when I need to quickly use some light. Volume control for the speakers is mounted just below my mouse hand, under the diNovo number pad if you can make that out. Charger for the G7 is mounted on the back of the 3007, just a couple inches in front of the mouse, for rapid fire battery swaps.

nice clean and sleek workstation ballpoint. NIce rig too, those ram modules look great :D
You get good temps in that case?
Do your eyes hurt yet from being so close to the hugh screen? :D

Looks good ballpoint.

+ I know what your'e talking about with the 'rapid fire battery swaps' it seems that every time one of mine dies, im playing a game and getting shot at. I also have mine right there, because it only takes like 3 seconds to get the new one in. Sick display too, good job hiding wires, very clean setup.

Thanks man. For a WaveMaster I have very good airflow. I took out the top I/O panel in favour of an additional exhaust. I also am only using one HDD and it's mounted high, behind my fan controller, so there is nothing blocking the two front intakes as they blow on the PCI cards. I'm also using an intake fan above the HDD which I don't even turn on anymore, just let it passively take in to eat up the negative pressure. All intakes are filtered, and I've taped off all open seams and pinholes in the case to avoid dust. I've also got a pretty sweet CCFL which I forgot to photograph.

Idle temps: CPU 47, MB 35, GPU 58.

And no, my eyes don't get tired looking at the huge screen. In fact it saved my eyes since I upgraded from a five year old Viewsonic a19 which really was starting to kill my eyes. It looks a little washed out in the photos, but realtime 3D on this thing is incredibly sharp with vivid colour. Battlefield 2 in 2560x1600 is a whole different experience. Sniping is soooo fun because you have so many pixels to aim at with even the most distant target. I basically am stunned by this thing whenever I come back to my workstation after some time away. I will be happy with it until there is something larger with equal or greater resolution.

What game is that? Look like some Call of Duty, is it? Overall nice, but I hate clear cases. Also, what did you blur in the background? :D Porn poster?

ballpoint, great setup. Just like mine hehe. I love clean and simple setups, so not everything is messy. Great table, looks like it's easy to throw things right in.

My guess is Call of Duty 2 or 3? And FarCry

And ballpoint is playing Battlefield 2
yes that pic is from Call of Duty 2... getting about 40-60 frames there had to turn down some shadow settings to play at that frame rate...

the second to the last pic is farcry.....

i should make my desk more neat by arranging the cables.. was too lazy to do it... took those pics right after i set up my monitor...

might change my case soon... my 8800gtx is coming in soon and i might need a bigger case... might go for the silverstone tj09 or tj07

Because of the blur it looks like there are people/objects behind him.

I'm going to play Battlefield 2 again because of ballpoint :D

Hey can we set up a vote or poll for the 2007 Show Your Workstation thread? I don't think I would win by any means, but I think it would be fascinating. Can you do an open poll where new voting options can be added so that we could "nominate" people from within the thread to be added to the poll?

Very nice setup and camera Hybrid. Your the first person I've seen on these forums using the Zalman Fatal1ty case. How's that working out for you? More pics of it would be cool.

Thank you. I love my D80, first digital SLR I've owned, so I'm still getting used to it.

As for the pictures of the case, what would you like to see? If you want a full view I have to unplug the cables and take pictures of it in a less crowded area.

Hybrid, I know it's been said before but ya gotta remove those fatality logos :D

FYI everyone, the 2007 thread will be unlocked tonight and this thread closed.

You mean in a couple of hours eh :D

I doubt my desktop will get any better, unless I have like the most expensive stuff. Should I mount my 46" Aquos on the wall or on the desk? lol.

What would be the best flex arm to attach my 2405 to? I've seen some really nice ones, and it will clear some space out, and make it look nicer.

If you find any good ones that are compatible for with the 2007fpw then post it because I'm looking to do the same.

It's threads like this that make me want to be rich......... goodness gracious!

Anyways, farewell 2006 thread, hello 2007.

Happy new year all (execpt the chinese)!

Planning to buy a LCD, got off track and put a 46" Sharp Aquos in the living room. Probably putting a small (27" or so) in that bedroom, because that's all that will most likely fit.
