Can you check this website and look at the red gradient on both sides of that page (going down) and see if you see the slight banding: http://forums.cgsociety.org/

I've seen other gradients, and they seem pretty good, but that page sticks out. I just got the monitor, so the revision is A02. I had my CRT and the 2007wfp on at the same page at the same time and the gradient is smooth on the CRT.

Both my LCD and my CRT show banding in that red gradient. Thus the importance of using test programs instead of random stuff found on the web.

What he said, my VX2025 also shows the banding, could be the monitor but there is a pretty good chance of crappy design.
 
Thanks for the replies. It's not just my particular LCD then. It's fine on my CRT.

The flashing, right? I hope that's the case, but it might be the monitor's inability to that diagonal scanline pattern (on the two sides) on mlbtraderumors.com as I'm scrolling. I dunno.
 
Yeah, that's what I meant. Thanks for checking. I've used LCDs in the past, but didn't really pay attention until now because this is the first one I've owned personally (I've been using a good 21-inch CRT until now, but it's taking too much space).

There's some flashing on the sides when I scroll up and down. I assume that's pretty normal too?

Yep, that is pretty dam freaky on my LCD, not on my CRT. I think your LCD is perfectly normal. Relax.

Bands like crazy on my TN LCD. All (red,green,blue)the colors fine on my CRT. Some very minor lines visible on the gray horizontals even on my CRT. But your really have to look close.

Same here on a VX922, I see some banding on that page. Personally I think it's just the background image that site is using.
