2015 MacBook Pro camera light flashing when FaceTime isn't in the foreground

I can't find any docs on this, so I want to see if other MBP users have seen it. When I FaceTime with someone on my 2015 MBP, the camera light is on constantly. When FaceTime goes into the background and "pauses" (on the other end), I notice the camera light will blink vs. remaining solid.

Has anyone else seen this?
 
Tyler has it right. Its a feature that is part of App Nap. For power saving/performance purposes.
 
Yeah I also think that’s just camera that goes into the standby mode. You should check it out. Actually I am learning photography from a popular Port Macquarie Photographer and once I also got the same problem and he solved it in this way.
