23 MB/s Down good?

My buddy's bandwidth test at 23Mb/s. Is that pretty f'n good or what?

Depends what it's supposed to be.
But with the average of todays faster broadband connections, especially factoring in the faster cable and fiber setups...it's probably a hair or two below average.

It's alright, nothing special.

Well, I did click in because I saw MB.

Then everyone starts talking about Mb.

23 MB is very good. :D 23 Mb is OK.

I'm at 18.97 Mb/s down and 4.59 Mb/s up

Which is normal for us, we're in the 20/5 plan i believe with optimum.

When we move, we're getting the 100 Mb/s service they offer.

If you said 1Gbps then I´d say it´s pretty f´n good :p

But that´s just alright at best.

The speed test server I used above has terrible inbound BW so my upload figures are always skewed =/

50mbit down using Virgins fibre in the UK, pulls about 5.8MB/sec max.

23MB/sec is crazy though, if it's sustained.

Mmmm Virgin Fibre....

Virgin Fibre is fine until you use it a bit much (which isnt very much), then they throttle you.
Not a lot of point in having such speeds with this business plan forced on you imo.
I prefer normal virgins, they improve with time :D

50mbit isn't throttled..................yet.

I get roughly 330-400 Mbps down in my lab at work. Not too bad considering the policing I put in haha.

Production WAN... you don't even want to know.

At home, though.. I only get a measly 15Mb. :(

Download at work, Portable terabyte hard drive. take home. WIN!!!!! ;) :p

wow, I don't have anything compared to most of the people. I only have 2Mb/s down and 200Kb/s up, gotta love when its the only isp in the area

22/2 at the house.

3/3 at work in th near future. Can go at high at 45/45, $116/mo for each mbps. So, for under 5k, we could crack 45mbps...
