So, I'm not seeing much reviews/hype about the U2913WM. Looking to upgrade my 2408WFP, it's served me well, but I need more pixels. During my search I came across this monitor and seemed to be great value. I tend to place windows side by side (dont have room for 2 screens), and 1920 wide is just a little short of pulling this off comfortably (still involves left/right scrolling). So this looks like a viable option. 1080p seems fine. If I rather like this odd 21:9 ratio

Will mostly use for photo-editting and usual browsing. If I game, which is rare, it's total war/other strategy games, where this panorama feature will be useful

Long story short, aside from the extral pixels, is the 27" a better buy?

The newer matte 27" 2560x1440 monitors have better colors, matte coatings, lower input lag and less ghosting.

21:9 monitors are the same height as 23" 1080p models, the extra height a 1440p monitor offers is far more useful.

The U2713HM has lots of quality control issues (matte coating cross-hatching, image retention, yellow light bleeding), if you want a 27" get the ViewSonic VP2770

or Eizo EV2763W (cheaper in Europe sometimes)

If you don't mind taking a risk you can get 2560x1440 PLS panels capable of overclocking to 96-120hz from ebay for 300-400$
