2gb card only gives me 1gb storage

So, I recently bought a 2gb MicroSD card for my new LG Env2. I first plugged it into my phone and all worked great. It formatted the card correctly and everything. Then I took it out of my phone, plugged it into the SD card adapter and into my computer to load some music on.

Everything works great the first time. So I take it out of my phone again and back into the computer to load more music on. But this time, when I plug it into the computer all the files are corrupt and neither my phone or computer can read them.

I then reformat the card using Windows. But after I reformatted the card, it only gives me 934mb open space, but also says 938mb being used, yet the card is freshly formatted....

What gives? Where's my other 938mb that's supposedly being used. It gave me 1.82gb fresh outa the box.

Maybe its got multiple chips on the PCB and half of them died? Just a thought.
